During the pre-show to Impact’s Hard to Kill PPV, Madison Rayne made an announcement in regard to her future as a professional wrestler. Rayne officially retired from Impact Wrestling.

I want to take this time to address some speculation, because it should come from me and no one else. But first, I want to acknowledge how proud I am to have had a career at Impact Wrestling that has spanned three separate decades. I’ve seen places in the world I never even knew before Impact Wrestling took me there. And it is with a full and grateful heart that after 12 years I announce my official retirement from Impact Wrestling. It is time for me, the wrestler Madison Rayne, to go home now and be a wife, and be a mom, and move on with my life.
But I am leaving this division in the best possible hands, and I can not wait to see what Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz and Deonna Purrazzo and Jordynne Grace all bring to this division.
Rayne spent most of 2020 in the role of color analyst during Impact broadcasts alongside her husband, Josh Mathews. Her career accolades in Impact include 5-time Knockouts Champion, 2-time Knockouts Tag Team Champion, and 2014 Queen of the Knockouts. She was ranked #5 in the PWI Female Top 50 for 2011.
