Popular Telugu comedian M.S. Narayana passes away, funeral on Saturday

Telugu comedian M.S. Narayana, who had over 750 films to his credit, passed away Friday due to kidney-related ailments, family sources said. The last rites will be performed at his farmhouse Saturday. He was 63.

Telugu comedian M.S. Narayana, who had over 750 films to his credit, passed away Friday. He was 63.

He passed away due to kidney-related ailments, family sources said. The last rites will be performed at his farmhouse Saturday.

Narayana was undergoing treatment at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS).

"We've lost another great actor. He showed signs of improvement yesterday (Thursday) but doctors said he was critical," producer C. Kalyan told IANS.

Although Narayana's family claims he was admitted due to malaria, tests revealed that he had kidney-related issues.

On Thursday, doctors at KIMS performed dialysis on Narayana, who was later put on ventilator support.

Narayana, who has over 750 films to his credit, started his career as a writer.

Some of his best films include "Indra", "Sontam", "Dookudu" and "Shivamani".

He had penned dialogues for films such as "Alexander" and had also directed "Bhajantrilu" and "Koduku".

He is survived by his wife, daughter Sasikiran and son Vikram.
