Lynn was born in Michigan, but the family soon moved to Tucson Arizona where she went on to make a large circle of life long friends and family. During her college years, Lynn won "Miss Arizona" 1957 and was runner up in in the Miss America pageant that year. After college, Lynn began modeling before going on to a career in Hollywood as an actress on the screen, stage and television. Dear Lynn Borden on Thursday August 18, 2022 your husband Roger Burnell joined you up in heaven. All of us at Aegis Living Assisted in Granada Hills will truly miss Roger, especially Amanda his care manager & Elizabeth his driver. The last two weeks Roger was very active, playing cards, evenings sitting outside listening to oldies and even singing - he was so happy, cheerful and very social, maybe he knew he would reunite with you very soon May you both Rest In Peace

I’m so sorry to hear of your passing. I work at Aegis Living Assisted in Granada Hills, Ca. I am a housekeeper there and for several months I have admired so many lovely pictures of this beautiful woman in one of the residents apartment. One day I stopped and asked Mr. Rogers there’s something about this lady that is so familiar, I told him she looks like a movie star and low and behold Mr.Rogers said “that’s my wife” and her name is Lynn Borden she is an actress, model and a beauty queen. Funny thing I just saw an episode of “Hazel” that morning so I knew who he was talking about. I talked with your husband for a good 20 minutes and I felt bad that I had made him cry as he was talking about how much he missed and loved you. He also told me about his corvette business and how he actually met you. Odd thing I didn’t think Mr. Rogers liked me, I would ask the other employees if they experienced the same thing. All of them would say “he’s just a quiet gentleman, don’t take it to heart”. But now I realized that he was just very sad and missing his lovely Lynn tremendously. I can tell you he loves you dearly and you are on his mind all the time. Mr. Rogers is quite a funny man now when I speak to him. I try to remember that we never know what others are going through so we must always be kind to one another and have patience.
I hope Mr. Rogers sees this because I want you to know you are truly a gem. May your beautiful wife Lynn Rest In Paradise

I have missed you since the moment my Plane last left LAX my amazing friend. I will never forget all our Lunches & Screenings at SAG or being your Guest at the Oscars & just hanging out & watching those Beautiful Dogs you and Roger shared. You took me to my first H'wood Party at E.W. & Bridget Swackhammer's on July 4th. It seemed all of 60's - 90's TV Royalty was there. You were the most selfless, humane, compassionate Lady I knew. I lost 2 great friends 2 days apart & one was You! I don't do loss well. Five years later and I'm not doing loss well. I believe we'll meet again in Heaven. Though, I'll likely be in the Trailer Park Version if 4th Class Exists. Sigh

Hazel tv series is a wonderful treasure of life in the 1960's. Both formats(season 1-4 with Don Defore and Whitney Blake)and season 5 with Ray Fulmer and Lynn Borden
were a testament of good wholesome tv viewing for the entire family. I for one am grateful to antenna tv for airing this rare jem for all to enjoy. A delightful trip down memory lane for those who remember and all new to newer generations who have never see it before. Great
ensemble cast and great guest appearances by famous stars of the day. God Rest Lynn Borden soul.

The Lynn Borden episodes of Hazel were on when I was a very young child during the late 1960s to early 1970s and during recent years on Antenna TV.

I loved Lynn's role on Hazel as a gentle, demure, young housewife starting out in life with issues that gentle, young, married women dealt with during the late 1960s.
There was no drama and no hate and those episodes of Hazel with Lynn in them would sooth my spirit because of her character's gentle style.

Lynn's character made me remember all the gentle women I knew as a young child and all the gentleness and good people from my younger days, some of them are still here many are not. Lynn was no doubt one of them in her real life too.

All the good people who brought so much good to my life when I was younger are leaving me so fast or have already left that it is heartbreaking. I wish the best for all of Lynn's family and loved ones at this very sad time.

Dear Roger,
We can't believe our dear, dear Lynn is gone. We were thinking of her and you all this week. We had no idea of the great struggle the two of you were going through. John and I always remember our times together with the two of you with much joy and happiness. When I met John on a plane ride to Lake Tahoe, Lynn drove him to the airport, so she was a bit responsible for our being together. She was a wonderful friend. Much love and our prayers, Karen and John Ericson

I am so sad to hear this. We had a nice long chat on the phone a couple of months ago. She was very kind to me and was my first interview for my first book. We stayed in touch since and I sent her the final season of Hazel when it was finally released on DVD. She was so appreciative. She was a sweet sweet person and will be deeply missed.Thoughts and prayers to Roger.
