Lululemon Commission vs. Vuori Meta Pant

Question

Anyone here own both and can comment? I own almost a dozen Commission pants which have obviously been great for business casual, casual, etc. But I started down the Vuori rabbit hole and own some fleet pants and am now looking at their more formal Meta pant.

Curious how it compares to Lulu's commission.

Vuori only has even number sizes, except 33 because the founder wears a 33. Deal breaker for me even tho I like Vuori stuff way more than lulu

That’s a wild fact lol.

I mean.. wtf... the founder sees the need for it, but still excludes it for.. what reason? Immediate turn-off

I also prefer the cut of Lululemon to Vuori.

I prefer ABC and commission. Vuoris material wasn’t as thin/stretchy and we’re also a bit baggier along with not being able to adjust the inseam.

Oooo I’m in the same position at the moment. I’m a native San Diegan, so I’m slightly biased towards Vuori. Prefer their colors, and beachy/coastal aesthetic.

I do not own a pair of Meta, but I’ve tried multiple pairs throughout the years and I would say they are definitely on par with ABCs/Commission in fabric thickness/quality. The last time I bought a pair was in December. Went to their Encinitas store and fucking loved how soft they were. But, I ended up returning them. The ONLY reason I don’t like Meta is because they only come in a straight fit. I prefer slim.

Just bought two pairs of Cascade Tech Chinos from Vuori because they’re slim fit, HOWEVER, they only come in a 30.5” inseam, which I wear 30”. Slightly long, but still look great. The chinos are slightly thinner fabric, but are still super stretchy. I wore them today, and as I was walking from my car, I realized how comfortable it is to walk; didn’t feeling restricting at all. I’m hoping they’ll fit better after I throw them in the wash and dryer.

I love my Lulus, specifically the Commissions. Lulu has the advantage of sizing and stores. My Lulus fit perfectly because they are my actual size and not 0.5” longer.

Depending on how the Chinos hold up after wash, I might stick with Lulu for pants. Everything else though? Vuori. Kore Shorts are awesome and versatile. Meta Joggers have a WAY better fit, thicker material, and better waistband than Lulu.

What do you wear the joggers for? Just lounging around at home or doing errands? Or for actual jogging?

Personally, I use joggers as just an alternative to pants (not all the time though). I don’t workout in or run in them at all. So I lounge in them, go out casually with friends in them, and run errands in them. Obviously a more formal occasion I’ll go to my Lulus pants.

Agreed with you re: meta joggers compared to ABC joggers. I like the waistband a lot more and the material. My only complaint with the meta jogger is that the fit is inconsistent across diff pairs, at least for me

Inconsistent how? I just bought two more pairs of Meta Joggers and now I’m curious how they’ll fit

I have a navy and olive pair, both size medium. The navy pair fits perfect, the olive pair is noticeably baggier and roomier in the thighs

Interesting. I’ll see on Monday when they come

How good are the Lulus at resisting stains/water? I’m more thinking about the stains tbh, the water resistance thing the Evolutions etc have is just a wash in coating (I think).

Be interested as I’m looking at changing from jeans for work/smart casual to a chino-esque pant.

Any ideas or thoughts are really welcome and helpful!

I own a pair, I prefer the lululemon pants fabric to the meta and the chino from Vuori. The meta pants feel much thicker/stiff, the chinos are a bit better but still don’t feel anywhere near as nice as the lll slacks. Unfortunate because I’ve been preferring pretty much all the other Vuori stuff.

I have both and like them. It says they’re made of different materials, but I find them very similar, lulus are maybe a tad more stretchy. I wear the regular fit, not the skinny fit, and the Vuoris are slightly more slim cut than the regular fit Lulus. Huge fan of the fleets, I’m wearing them right now, look kinda like golf pants but feel like sweats. The meta only comes with the ABC style back pocket, not the commission style pocket if that’s something you care about.

I've worn out 3 Lululemon ABC Utilitech pants (not Commission).

I'll keep going with them, but out of curiosity I checked out Vuori's Meta pants since everyone is talking about them.

First reaction: They're dressy. Much shinier and sheer material than what I'm used to. Tighter cut. IMHO, I don't know how someone is wearing these in not in a business-casual context. I'm used to the more textured and utilitarian appearance of ABC Utilitech (even that seems dressy to me).

Recently bought ponto pants, overpriced sweats but damn they are comfiest ever, probably similar to everlux feel
