Early Life, Education, and Career Beginnings
Luke grew up in London, and as the years progressed he slowly developed an interest in pursuing acting as a career. After matriculating from high school, he enrolled at the Birmingham School of Acting to train in the art – the drama school is a part of Birmingham City University, and has been operational since 1936. They offer a variety of programs ranging from short courses, part-time lessons and summer schools, available for children as well as adults.

After completing his training, he made a guest appearance in the television show “Holby City”, before gaining his first long-term role in the series “Dream Team” of which he was a part for three years. In 2002, Mably was cast in the horror film “28 Days Later” which was a success critically and commercially. It follows the story of a society that has been suddenly infected by a highly contagious virus, turning people into mindless fast-moving zombies. During the same year, he had a guest role in the British soap opera “EastEnders”, then in 2004 portrayed Prince Edvard in the Hollywood film “The Prince & Me”, working alongside Julia Stiles and Ben Miller.
The film tells the story of a college student who is pursued by a prince who is pretending to be an ordinary college student.
He continued his film work with “Spirit Trap”, and “Colour Me Kubrick: A True…ish Story” starring John Malkovich, in which John’s character has been impersonating the director Stanley Kubrick since the 1990s. He continued working, being cast in the medical series “Combat Hospital” which ran for a season, but was also short-lived as the series wasn’t picked up by a network after the first season, leading to its discontinuation.
He went on a four-year break from any acting work afterwards, and then returned as a guest in an episode of “NCIS: New Orleans”. The police procedural series is a spin-off from “NCIS” following the story of NCIS agents stationed in New Orleans, Louisiana. In the criminal event, three drug dealers were shot dead inside a Range Rover which led to a major police investigation, and has been the subject of several films and books over the years. One of his latest projects is the film “Chosen”, which is set during World War II, and schediuled for release in 2010.

Mably has been engaged for three years to actress Andrea Deck, but the couple shows no sign of getting married any time soon.
She is known for her work in projects such as “Les Miserables”, “The Counselor”, and “The City & The City.” She also voiced the daughter of Ellen Ripley, Amanda Ripley in the video game “Alien: Isolation”. The couple supports each other in work, and he also helps her as she suffers from type 1 diabetes. He also recently put on a lot of muscle, because recent roles required him to do so, and has been maintaining his body at the gym since.
