Harrington Joins Lions for 2024 Season

LOS ANGELES - LMU proudly announces the commitment of Callan Harrington, a standout talent hailing from Oregon, to the women's soccer program. Harrington's stellar high school career, marked by record-breaking achievements and accolades, should be a welcome addition to the 2024 Lions.

Harrington's prowess on the field is unmatched, boasting the distinction of being the single-season and career record-holder for high school goals scored in the state of Oregon. Her record-setting performance during the 2019 OSAA 6A state championship game, where she scored the decisive goals to clinch victory for Jesuit High School, exemplifies her tenacity and skill.

Ranked as the top player in Oregon and No. 10 nationally by MaxPrep.com in high school, Harrington has garnered widespread recognition for her exceptional talent.
She earned both all-state and all-American honors, further solidifying her status as one of the nation's most promising soccer talents. Harrington's remarkable achievements include setting the state single-season goals record with 55 goals during her senior year, accompanied by 17 assists, a testament to her versatility and impact on the field.

Named the 2019 Gatorade State High School Girl's Player of the Year and the Prep Girl's Soccer Player of the Year by the Oregon Sports Awards, Harrington's accolades underscore her dominance in the sport. Her contributions were not limited to individual success, as she led Jesuit High School to three consecutive state titles and a No. 3 national ranking in the USA Today/United Soccer Coaches Super 25 poll.

"We are
very excited to add Callan to our program. A player with her qualities will always have options and we are pleased that she has chosen LMU to finish her college career," said head coach Chris Chamides. "This is a great fit for us both and we look forward to working with her. We have a sense for her potential and an even better sense for how good of a person she is. Welcome, Callan, to The Bluff!"

Harrington's journey to LMU was shaped by her dedication and passion for the game, cultivated through years of hard work and commitment.
As she embarks on this new chapter in her soccer career, she is poised to leave an indelible mark on the LMU women's soccer program and inspire future generations of athletes.

"I am so excited to join the Lion family and continue my passion for soccer as well as my interest in marketing," said Harrington of her commitment to the Bluff.

Harrington joins the Lions from Oregon where she has played parts of two seasons with the Ducks. She has scored a pair of goals in nine matches, including a debut goal to nab her first collegiate goal.

The Lions will debut their new team in August of 2024.
