steve d Another film where I wonder who had dirt on some great actors to get them to do some really high school level material. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Love & Distrust is a series of vignettes that are designed to show different aspects of relationships between people. None of it gels into a logical film. In fact it feels like a lame excuse to compile a bunch of short films into a single product to sell based on the big star names that appear in them. None of the shorts look similar, the tone is all over the place, and it doesn’t even attempt to connect the stories together. It’s nonsensical to say the least, and fails to elicit any emotional reaction from me. It’s a shame because the movie has some talent in front of the camera, but they didn’t have anything good to do with the great actors. All of these shorts are forgettable, and not one did much to show the themes that they intended. All around Love & Distrust is a failure of a film, and I would recommend people just avoid it. The only upside is that it doesn’t feel long because it is broken down into small chunks, and you can laugh at how poorly some of these mini-plots were constructed. That’s not enough reason to waste your time, though. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/06/18 Full Review Audience Member all star cast and sam worthington shirtless are the only reasons to see this one. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Great cast but bad movie. Far too complicated and slow. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Frances H The first two shorts in this compilation were not very good; they didn't have much to say. But I quite enjoyed "Pennies" with Amy Adams and the last short with the cameo by James Cameron and all the other stars was amusing. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/24/13 Full Review Audience Member I honestly saw it because of Rob Pattinson. I couldn't stay awake through the whole thing, Rob was in the very first part. Didn't like the rest of it at all! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
