Kate Moss slurs her words, stumbles over speech at WSJ. Magazine Innovator Awards

Kate Moss sparked concern after appearing out of sorts during a recent fashion event.

The supermodel, 48, presented Saint Laurent (YSL) creative/image director Anthony Vaccarello with the title of 2022 Fashion Innovator at the Wall Street Journal Magazine Innovator Awards last week.

Though she looked stellar in a sheer, deep chartreuse ensemble while gushing over her longtime pal, Moss seemed jittery and clutched onto the podium as she slurred some of her words.

“Good evening, ladies and gentlemen,” she began, looking at her phone. “Anthony and I have worked together for — years,” she continued, pausing at odd times throughout the short speech.

“Since he started at Saint Laurent, I could recognize his instinct for fashion. And — I wanted to be part of that,” she went on. “I’m honored to be part of his Saint Laurent family and to be his friend.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, I’m honored to present Anthony Vaccarello with the — Innovator of the h–award,” Moss concluded, stumbling over the name of the evening’s most prestigious honor.

Social media users were quick to express concern over the catwalk queen’s bizarre behavior.

“She’s clearly on drugs,” one Twitter user alleged, to which someone else replied, “I think so too but I don’t want to make any assumptions or accusations.”

“I feel her heart beating through her chest from here 😩,” someone else remarked, while another observer claimed, “The streets are saying diet coke isn’t the only coke she’s an ambassador for…”

Reps for Moss have not yet responded to Page Six’s request for comment.

The ’90s fashion icon rose to fame during “the supermodel era” — when models were rail thin and partied hard.

She was dubbed “Cocaine Kate” after coke-snorting images of her were splashed across the front page of a British tabloid in 2005. She also earned another nickname — “The Tank” — for the amount of vodka she could put down.

But Moss has reportedly been clean and sober for the past four years. In fact, insiders told Page Six in February that her relationship with younger sister Lottie Moss had suffered greatly due to the 24-year-old’s “really bad addiction to coke.”

“There have been times when Kate has felt straight-up mortified. She has had her head in her hands about Lottie and what she is doing with her career,” a family source shared at the time, adding that Kate’s 20-year-old model daughter, Lila Hack, “won’t have anything to do with Lottie.”
