Lori Loughlin’s newly single daughter still flaunts ‘White privilege’ on YouTube

Olivia Jade Giannulli focuses on sharing videos from her fabulous life, including a boisterous trip with friends to Disneyland, downing alcohol on the limousine drive there

The last time Olivia Jade Giannulli, Lori Loughlin’s faux-crew-star daughter, invaded the public’s consciousness was in December, when she admitted she was guilty of “White privilege.”

But the beauty influencer is back this week with the news that she’s newly single after breaking up with boyfriend Jackson Guthy and has “lots of stuff” coming soon, presumably more content for her Instagram and YouTube accounts.

It also appears that the 21-year-old hasn’t shifted the creative focus of her content, which helped make her one of the most recognized, ridiculed and reviled figures of the college admissions scandal. That’s because Olivia Jade is still posting photos and videos of her fabulous “White privilege” life — getting up in the morning, putting on her makeup, modeling clothes, giving herself facials, waiting for someone to come to her high-rise apartment to manicure her nails, getting a spa treatment, sipping cocktails while on vacation in Cabo San Lucas and packing two suitcases of clothes and makeup to spend the summer away from Los Angeles.

Perhaps the most annoying case of Olivia Jade flaunting her privilege is the segment of one her recent “Week in the Life” vlogs, which shows her and her boisterous friends in the back of a Mercedes limousine van, taking a day trip to Disneyland.

The group, including Olivia Jade in Chanel sunglasses, downed cans of White Claw hard seltzer and what looked like hard liquor straight from the bottle, as they traveled to the theme park to go on rides and party some more.

This apparently is work for Olivia Jade, because she can of course use it for content to build her brand as a stylish but relatable-enough daughter of Hollywood. She has 1.8 million subscribers on YouTube and 1.3 million Instagram followers.

Back in December, Olivia Jade tried to salvage her reputation by appearing on Jada Pinkett Smith’s “Red Table Talk” Facebook show, where she expressed sorrow for the fact that her TV star mother and fashion designer father broke federal laws.

Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli served time in federal prison after pleading guilty to paying $500,000 in bribes to get Olivia Jade and her older sister, Isabella, fraudulently admitted to the University of Southern California on the pretense of being crew athletes, even though they had never participated in the sport.

“It’s been hard,” she told Pinkett Smith and Pinkett Smith’s more skeptical mother, Adrienne Banfield Norris. “I think for anybody, no matter what the situation is, you don’t want to see your parents go to prison, but also I think it’s necessary for us to move on and move forward.”

Olivia Jade told the women she realized the extent of her White privilege while volunteering at an after-school program in the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Olivia Jade grew up in Bel-Air, attended an elite girls’ prep school and laughingly admitted in one of her pre-scandal YouTube vlogs that she didn’t care that much about academics or going to college. In Watts, she met children who “were so grateful” for their education.

Talking to the children, Olivia Jade said, “shifted my whole mentality.”

“I was watching all of them, and I was thinking about my situation and that I took all of that for granted,” she said. “I didn’t think I was lucky to have that. I just expected that because I grew up around it. So it was a big shift in my head, knowing, like, let’s start recognizing where the wrongs are in that.”

Banfield Norris definitely didn’t seem moved by her story about being contrite or working with underprivileged children. “Child, please,” Banfield Norris said.

In another recent vlog, Olivia Jade claimed that she still does volunteer work with an unnamed charity but wouldn’t identify the charity because it asked her not to. She also said she still cares about helping under-privileged children and “really wants to use my platform to educate myself and others about certain topics.”

That remains to be seen, but, meanwhile, Olivia Jade is happy to share photos and videos in which she promotes clothes and beauty products, enjoys movie nights with friends in her apartment with its city views, lounges by a mountain lake in a bikini or contemplates a sunset.

Meanwhile, Olivia Jade confirmed her breakup from Guthy by posting a selfie on Thursday that showed her responding to a follower who asked, “Are you single?”

“I am indeed,” Olivia wrote over a selfie, People reported.

Olivia and the musician, 25, previously split in 2019 after her parents were arrested in the college admissions scandal. The couple rekindled their romance in August 2019, with Guthy sharing a photo on his Instagram featuring the pair kissing in front of a mirror.

After Olivia Jade’s “Red Table Talk” interview, Guthy publicly praised her, writing “very proud of you!” on his Instagram story, People said.

Olivia Jade hasn’t included Guthy in any of her social media posts since New Year’s Day, when she shared a video of the pair dancing to “Le Freak” by CHIC, People said.

“2021 let’s just keep the vibes good, k?” she captioned the post.
