Hellas Verona goalkeeeper Lorenzo Montipo feels that his team will approach their match against Inter on Saturday evening with the end of doing everything they can to get a result out of it.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN, via FCInterNews, the 26-year-old emphasized that, whilst the Gialloblu are aware of who they are coming up against, they are not going into the match with fear or caution.
Looking at the table, even with the inconsistency that Inter have shown throughout the season so far, the Nerazzurri should feel that they are clear favourites to get a win over Verona by far.
However, the Gialloblu can take heart from the fact that newly-promoted managed a point against Inter last weekend, and that it was a result that hardly flattered the Brianzoli on the balance of play.
Montipo and his teammates will feel that, even though they currently sit in the relegation places in the Serie A table, they do still have the quality to get a result.
However, this can only come if they have the right approach, and play to the limit of their abilities against one of the Italian top flight’s heavy hitters.
“The break for the World Cup did us good,” the goalkeeper said, “we worked on the training pitch for two months with the new coach.”
Montipo continued that “The results have already been seen against Torino and Cremonese.”
“Now we come up against a team who are at the opposite end of the table from us.”
“With maximum respect to them we will be aiming to give our all until the final whistle,” he said.
“We know that it’ll be difficult, but we’ll give our all.”
