      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Loot doesn't quite service comedic treasure Maya Rudolph as satisfyingly as a star vehicle should, although there are enough riches here to suggest a big return on investment -- when this promising sitcom finds its footing.

Andrew Male Times (UK) ... The show's good heart and clever wit lies in the ensemble playing of the team around [Maya Rudolph]. Aug 5, 2022 Full Review David Moses RogerEbert.com The greatest crime of Loot is how much it fails its leading lady. Jun 28, 2022 Full Review Alison Herman The Ringer The Apple TV+ series has a concept and a star that practically commands you to pay attention, but the show fails to build on its foundation and is an imperfect showcase for Rudolph’s talents. Jun 24, 2022 Full Review Gissane Sophia Marvelous Geeks Media If Parks and Recreation had a baby with the general premise of The Good Place, then this is the series that’s born. Jul 23, 2023 Full Review Ezequiel Boetti Otroscines.com [The protagonist's] clashes with mundane necessities generate a few funny moments that are somewhat uneven... as if the series is trying to find its tone as it goes. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 3.5/5 Dec 20, 2022 Full Review Alexandra MacAaron Women's Voices for Change While Maya Rudolph is always a delight, Loot really misses an opportunity to expand on some of the social issues the Wells Foundation is trying to solve. By fleshing out an unhoused character or two, Loot could do more than make us laugh. Rated: 6/10 Aug 15, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Joe C Funny and easy watch. Script could be better. The guys are funny. Overall it was entertaining. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/06/24 Full Review Sarah H I love Maya Rudolph, but this didn’t do her comedy justice. It is cute in some parts and not totally awful. I could get past most of the “woke” in the show, but the end was over the top with it and ruined the whole show. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/27/24 Full Review Andrea This is worth watching for Ron Funches and Joel Kim Booster. I don't find Maya Rudolph credible in the role for a few reasons. And we get to see a lot of super-rich people sh*t all over capitalism and...being rich. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/24 Full Review The_Matthew S Awful - on almost every level. Bummer for Maya Rudolph - in my opinion Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/21/24 Full Review Endri D I tried to like it, but the writing is just not good. I didn't laugh once, such a waste of good actors. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 10/02/23 Full Review Robert T Effortless, fun, great chemistry, fast paced and witty - absolutely binge worthy, genuinely funny. Can't wait for Season 2!
