      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

In spite of its spotless pedigree and a strong sense of visual style, London Boulevard stumbles over its frenetic pace and crowded, clichéd plot.

Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com London Boulevard is a mess, a fascinating, exhilarating, infuriating, emotional, tragic and euphoric mess, but still a mess all the same. Rated: 2/4 Jan 27, 2012 Full Review Moira MacDonald Seattle Times A stylish if familiar tale of a man hopelessly entangled in his past. Rated: 3/4 Nov 22, 2011 Full Review Jason Bailey DVDTalk.com It doesn't really hang together, not really. But when a picture is this sleek and pleasurable, why complain? Nov 11, 2011 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Monahan delivers a messy-if-mildly-enjoyable crime movie that should entertain, but won’t wow, fans of both the genre and these performers. Rated: 2.5/4 Mar 6, 2023 Full Review Debbie Lynn Elias Behind The Lens Cool. Hip. Slick. Loving London Boulevard. Nov 26, 2019 Full Review Amie Simon Three Imaginary Girls I particularly enjoyed strong performances from David Thewlis as Charlotte's quirky caretaker Jordan, and Pushing Daisies' Anna Friel acting the hell out of her role as Mitchel's train wreck of a sister, Briony. Nate R So many people hated this movie but as a fan of British crime flicks and the Guy Ritchie school of cooler then life villains this absolutely fits the bill. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/01/24 Full Review H C I loved the style and the acting. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review philip w A good film — can't understand all low scores - go for it — it's violent mind Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review adrian j What a cast. What a let down. Nothing new, and what was there was done poorly. Disappointed. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review thomas j What could've been a good story about the ex-con and the film star is ruined by way too many other characters and storylines. And what about Colin Farrell's awful London accent? Why not just let him be Irish? It's on a par with Jason Statham's American accent i.e. a real distraction. And it appears Farrell can only do it with his face completely immobilised... Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Neil G This films story line is a cheap rip off of Carlitos Way. Casting director must have been on holiday casting the main character Colin Farrell he is as hard as a boiled egg. He looks like an English Joe from friends. The rest of the cast are top draw. Film would have been so much better with a better casted main actor. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/27/22 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
