It is truly amazing. The high altar is glorious and everything is just jaw dropping. The floor of the Lady Chapel is beautiful. So tall with beautiful ceilings. On an elevated site above the City and stand statuesque with views all round.Written April 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KatseddonEvesham, UK60 contributionsFrom entering the atmosphere was exciting, you could feel the history and I just wanted to learn more. From how they met to where they performed and who they met along the way. The staff were excellent. - Jen2601Ammanford, UK45 contributionsThis was a great trip out today with my fiancƩe. We had come to Liverpool for a halfway stop over point and so looked for things to do whilst we stayed here. We decided on the maritime museum and we are very glad we did!
Itās located in the docks and the atmosphere in the docks is so positive, it looks lovely and feels great.
The museum is easy to fine and free to enter though they suggest a donation of Ā£5 each but are not pushy for this.
We looked a little lost ( I always do!) so a museum employee asked if we were ok and told us what was on each floor to visit.
There are four floors of exhibitions but there are lifts available which is lucky as my back couldnāt face too many stairs today.
We loved the exhibitions and took our time walking round and reading all the boards. The titanic experience is fantastic and really worth a visit.
On the first floor we learned all about the Lusitania which was really interesting and so much about ships in the war. The third floor was home to the international slavery museum and really is a must visit for anyone and everyone. It was very sad and sobering but Iām glad we learnt about it and would encourage all to do the same.
This museum has plenty of things to touch and get interactive with. It also has plenty of toilets which are spacious and clean. It also has heaps of places to sit and rest your weary feet which I found really helpful.
The gift shop was great, not super expensive and all the staff were so helpful.
We really loved our trip here and could have stayed a lot longer, thanks for a great visit!Written April 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We learnt and seen so much. We will definitely be doing this again. Especially at the new stadium, all of the staff were so lovely and welcoming. Our tour guides Dave and jas couldnāt have done more to make us feel so welcome, our baby fell asleep half way through the tour in her pram which meant the pram couldnāt go to certain parts of the stadium but Dave and jas just kept asking if we needed one of them to stay with her or if there was anything they could do and it just made us feel so much more at ease and so welcomed. It was smiles all round throughout the whole tour, so if your thinking of going on this tour I would say go for it and go and have a one in a lifetime experience especially before Everton is no longer at Goodison šWritten May 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Win TaskBedford, UK136 contributionsWe loved the experience here. It's located just next to the dock. Beautiful location overlooking the waters making you feel fresh.
I particularly love the ground floor collection on the dock, trains etc. Very well presented in an engaging manner. The audio visuals are great!Written April 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. All morse code signals were also listened to from Germany and there were lots of personnel here, mainly ladies to listening to them and decode them. Much of the equipment used is still on the premises. Although it is underground the rooms are quite large so no fears of claustrophobia. We spend about two hours here making our way round at our own pace. We also went early morning and noted that there were only a couple of other visitors at that time of day so we had the whole to ourselvesWritten April 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 102WallaceAyrshire, UK107 contributionsIt's worth going in to the Central Library if you're in the area - it's close to Lime Street Station, the World Museum and the city art gallery. The new part of the library is architecturally amazing but you have to go inside to appreciate it - it's full of light and space. Take the lift up to the fourth floor - there's an outside viewing gallery with amazing views over the city. Great for getting your bearings!Written April 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Peej MOxford, UK283 contributionsThe Walker Gallery is one of the highlights of any visit to Liverpool if you love great art and love seeing amazing sculptures and paintings lovingly curated.
Inside this amazing building you'll find a selection of galleries covering different eras and cultures, including some fantastic modern art.
We particularly loved all the classic romantic era paintings that are part of the collection but also loved all the statues and sculpture work. Even though some galleries were closed when we visited, we still saw lots to inspire and enthral us.
The gallery has a small cafe with a few lunch options and good coffee with a modest gift shop but we really enjoyed our time here.Written April 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Well worth a visit
Staff were lovely.
Toilets clean.
Reception area sets the tone for the rest of the visit.
Great value especially as under 5 free and I went on a concession.
