Jude Bellingham rates Liverpool highly ahead of a potential move to Anfield, according to reports. The England midfielder is set to be a top target for the Reds in next summer's transfer window.
Bellingham will not be short of his suitors come the end of the season. He has been in fine form for club side Borussia Dortmund and England at the World Cup.
The former Birmingham ace does not turn 20 until next June but has already made 112 senior appearances for Dortmund and won 20 caps for his country. A return to England has been mooted almost ever since he joined Dortmund in 2020.
Liverpool are one of the leading clubs in pursuit of Bellingham. Jurgen Klopp is keen on reinventing his midfield and Bellingham is top of his list.
And it appears the youngster is also an admirer of Klopp's side. Transfer reporter Florian Plettenberg says the Reds are doing all they can to secure an early deal for Bellingham.
He claims Liverpool are "highly rated" by the player but the Merseysiders have a limit on what price they are prepared to pay. Plettenberg tweeted: "As reported: Liverpool is doing everything and Klopp is pushing a lot!
"Internal saying: Bellingham first! [Moises] Caicedo is an alternative. Liverpool is highly rated from the player. But nothing decided yet. LFC won’t pay every price. Dortmund expects between €100-150m!"
Bellingham still has two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract at Dortmund. However, he is widely expected to move on at the end of this season.
He has played a key role for England so far in Qatar, starting all three of their group matches and scoring his first international goal in the opening win over Iran. Everton defender Conor Coady recently revealed how Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has become like a father figure to Bellingham.
Coady told the Lions' Den: “He looks after Jude like there is no tomorrow. Jude is a young lad, sometimes we forget that because he is so mature and a fantastic footballer.
"He said something the other day about his mum making his bed, no word of a lie. We are talking about Jude Bellingham here, one of the best players in the world, and Hendo sat up at dinner and went 'What?’ and Jude went ‘Yeah, my mum makes my bed’, so Hendo is battering him. I would say someone like Henderson and [Kyle] Walker set the example."
