New LiveJournal app for iOS and Android is available now!
Dear friends,
We are glad to announce that the new LiveJournal app is available now on the App Store and Google Play.
What's new?
Everything! With the new LJ app it’s easy to read, chat and blog.
For Reading
You can read your friends feed and communities scrolling from top to bottom or swipe to the next entries when any post is opened.
For Communications
You won't miss new comments and personal messages anymore! You will get push notifications about all new events: comments and replies, reactions to posts and comments etc.
You can receive and reply to private messages.
For Posting
You can post everywhere! On the run, in a comfortable chair and even without an internet connection.
It's easy to write and edit even long entries. Every paragraph, picture or video is a new page in the mobile editor. You can edit each page, swap them (swipe left or right) or delete (swipe up).
Before posting, you can add tags, set privacy, time for scheduled entry and select community (if the post is for community).
Published post will be displayed in the usual form in the app and in browser.
All entries you started to write will be saved in drafts and will be available for editing on any device.
For Searching
You can search for interesting entries on LiveJournal or find user by username. You can also search by tags and hashtags.
What's inside? Question for geeks
Both apps are made using the same technology — React Native. This is a modern and cross-platform framework which is used for the most popular apps. It allows us to update app on two platforms at the same time.
