Show recorded live on July 25, 2011 at Terminal 5 in New York City. Couldn't help but to notice the very appreciative and lively crowd that was present to take in this live Jane's Addiction gig. As always, it was great hearing "Ain't No Right", "Just Because" brought to life as well as "Been Caught Stealing" (can't get the images from the Mtv video out of my head), the awesome "Ocean Size", "Three Days", 'Mountain Song" and the intricately-played "Jane Says". Only track here that I didn't immediately recognize was "Irresistible Force (Met The Immovable Object)" which is off the band's most recent CD 'The Great Escape Artist'. Comes with a twelve-page CD booklet with some really cool pics for your ultimate viewing pleasure. Highly recommended.

was meaningless with just demos.what about a remastered Nothings shocking and
Ritual de habitual,that sounds more exciting.
I love this live recording.
they are not at their peak of course but whatever.it's magical.
these songs never gets old.whores,three days,ocean size,this is music.
if you love Janes,get it for the sound.it's 2013 and the sound is better than in 1987.
you get the songs in stellar sound.
this music defies gravity and thats why I love Janes Addiction so much.timeless,nameless.

Jane's is amazing - as always! I'm pretty sure they continue to get better with age; which cannot be said for many bands. I've seen this show (the shortened, "made for tv" version) on Palladia a number of times, but it pales in comparison to the DVD! Perry, Dave, Stephen and Chris put on a show that will leave you wanting more - which is great since they will be touring again this year. I highly reccomend this buy for ANY Jane's Addiction fan!

I saw JA in a hole in the wall in 88, and Hammerstein in 97, and the Cap last week (Nothing's Shocking plus). Front row in all cases. 88 was organic mayhem. 97 was over the top and scary at times, as well as musically hot in spite of Perry being verrrry strung out, and Flea was Flea. These days the boys do short, tight, predictable shows, Perkins and Navarro are flawless, Chaney is the man, Perry is sartorially advanced, teeth capped, face lifted, voice a little whispy. This is a very accurate representation of a recent Janes show - hits, banter, perfect musically, imperfect vocally, good fun.

If you own prior Jane's Addictions albums then you know what this is going to sound like, still it's great to hear these songs performed in a live environment with the energy of the band and the audience not far behind in enthusiasm alone. I personally think this is one of the stronger live albums released by the band although some could disagree with that, pleased to add to my record collection as I don't own any live albums by JA other than Nothing Shocking and Ritual De Lo Habitual (the two essential alternative rock albums),Happy with the purchase which was delivered undamaged and on time thanks to Amazon.5/5 stars recommended purchase.
