Why is this not a double cd set with the full track listing in the same running order as the dvd? Otherwise a great show.

I find it amazing that anyone could praise this album in any recorded format. It is just awful. Elton's voice is completely shot. Rough and gravelly, which is worse given that most tracks are ballads. It is no wonder he had throat surgery after this tour. If this was the best performance, chosen for the album, then the ticket buyers as well as the record buyers were ripped off. So sad, that he tainted some of his best songs with this effort. If Elton John had anything like Neil Young's perfectionism, this would never have been released.

Great album. Sound quality is meh - muffled and not very dynamic - stick to Tidal for this one or some other pressing.

Update Feb 16, 2024: Just did a proper cleaning of the record and I what would say that the muffled quality is now gone. Sound quality is much better. Pressing seems clean, quite clear and dynamic (particularly the orchestral parts). I've only had a few records where cleaning made a substantial difference (e.g., CSN first album, Tragically Hip Fully Completely) and they've all been with new vinyl. My opinion has changed and I think you can buy this one with confidence.

Sounds as good and timeless as it did 20+ years ago. Delighted to finally track it down on vinyl locally.
