Reviews
- Simply the best I've ever heard The Doors sound live! The pressings are perfect and the new remix from Botnick is incredibly clear, rich, and detailed on this vinyl. Paid a pretty penny for it, but this set is totally worth it—if you're a Doors fan and are looking for that "there in the venue" quality level of live concert sound, this is the holy grail. A must-own for Doors fans!
- This is a great listen. I agree with all of the positive reviews found here. Sound is fantastic and a solid performance from this era. I’ve heard about everything that circulates from ‘69-‘70 and this show is much better than I realized. A worthy addition to any Doors collection. Recommended!
- Anyone else have a copy full of pops and clicks - mine sounds awful for a new press. Gonna have to give it a clean and see how it fairs
- Long time doors fan. I have all of the studio albums, live, some live boots on vinyl, and a few duplicates. This triple lp clear in an awesome trifold is the crown jewel. Finally got to spin it up this morning. All of the reviews are true. This is a must-have for a doors fan. Oh ya, needs to be played LOUD!
- I received my copy of this, and I got two Side C&D. The sound is amazing. I am glad they used the original master tapes, and not the digital source used on the CD release. Although I am very upset that I can't listen to all of it as my copy is messed up. I have contacted Rhino Records and they said they are trying to figure out how many copies are messed up. Then they are going to fix the issue.
- I have the european edition, It's not on cristal clear vinyl and has a made in Europe on the center labels
- This was my first RSD, just curious how much this album was on that day. My store wasn't able to get it in
- I've had this show on CD since '03 or so, and it's always been a favorite, but when I heard it was getting pressed for RSD, I had mixed feelings. Like some of you, I'm wary of concert recordings on wax, due to the possibilities of broken-up segues, halted momentum, songs not fitting on one side, or for longer shows, the constant flipping / replacing of discs. However, due to my long-time admiration of the set, I felt compelled to buy it anyway.
I don't usually write reviews, but I wanted to let anybody on the fence know: it is worth it. This is an absolute pleasure to listen to. The pacing works perfectly with the limitations of the format. The sound is crystal clear-- even better than the mix on the CD. If you like The Doors, do yourself a favor and pick this up. - Got mine this morning from my local record store, worth the wait in the queue than paying some of the prices that are going to appear on here.
