This is one of the best live albums in my collection hands down. Meat Loaf absolutely killed, and the Neverland Express was on fire. Even the classic Bat tracks that never sound quite as good live were masterfully executed, just as you would expect from the greats singer who ever roamed the earth. I wish he had done a few more songs from Blind Before I Stop, but overall the set list is pretty satisfactory, and the rock and roll medley bonus track is a really special treat. This album is absolutely essential for any true Meat Loaf fan, and if you're on the fence about getting it because you can't find a preview anywhere, I tell you I was in the exact same position a few month's ago and I now look back at myself in embarrassment. Have faith in the Mighty Meat Loaf, as he has had faith in you
Meat Loaf live never disappoints. I've seen his live shows about five times over many years and he always delivers. This CD from Wembley in 1987 is really good but I've seen and heard some better shows. I didn't care as much this time for his female singer and backup singers as I have the women he's used before and after this show. It's still a great show and worth hearing.
Have been looking for this cd for a while now to complete my Meat Loaf cd collection. Had it on cassette but misplaced it. As a remastered copy its not as "raw" as the original album but is still good. A very good collection of Meats output in the late 70's and 80's.
This CD is good. With live albums sometimes they sound too “polished”. I think that is the case here. Being a 2013 remastered version I know it’s going to be restored, but it sounds too “good” for an actual live CD. Other than that it’s a good CD overall. Recommended for fans of Meat Loaf’s work.
Meat Loaf toured the UK recently and I thought the 'Live at Wembley' CD would be from that tour. Wrong. It is a remix of a show from 1987. I am unable to see this detail in the product description. I like listening to Meat Loaf and although I haven't yet had chance to listen to the whole CD what I have heard is good. I am just disappointed that the CD is not what I expected. Anyone know if a CD from the latest tour will be released in the future?
Good quality sound.Meats 3rd Arista release, well worth having in your collection. He was at his best on this album. The backing band were called The Neverland Express on this one....... Amy and Elaine Goff stand out on backing vocals as well as Bob Kulik on lead guitar, Steve Buslow on Bass plus Chuck Burgi on drums and Mr Doyle on keyboard.A class line up and a class album from Mr rock and roll mercenary himself Meatloaf.
