Here Are the Little Shop of Horrors Cast Members

(SPOT.ph) Dadadoo, are you ready for Audrey II? Little Shop of Horrors is opening  in a few months and while the initial announcement of the staging caused some stir among fans, the one thing we're all dying to know is who's playing the lovers Seymour and Audrey? Well, The Sandbox Collective just announced the cast for the upcoming production and here's what we know.

What we know about the upcoming Little Shop of Horrors Manila:

The "deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical" is opening in Manila this July at the Maybank Performing Arts Theater. This local staging is being produced by the Sandbox Collective, the same theater group behind Bawat Bonggang Bagay, Lungs, and The 25th Annual Putnam Spelling Bee. 

The Little Shop of Horrors revolves around Seymour,  a floral shop worker who discovers a sentient carnivorous plant that feeds on human blood. It is an adaptation of the 1960 film The Little Shop of Horrors which was then turned to an off-broadway production in 1982. The off-broadway musical was adapted as a movie in 1986 starring Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene, Vincent Gardenia, Steve Martin, and the voice of Levi Stubbs.

Principal Cast members for Little Shop of Horrors 

This production of Little Shop of Horrors will feature two sets of actors. Depending on when you're watching, you might catch the pairing of Karylle and Nyoy Volante playing the roles of Audrey and Seymour, or Sue Ramirez and Reb Atadero. Whichever set you catch, you're bound to have a bangin' good time as all four performers have a ton of acting and singing chops under their belt. 

Little Shop of Horrors marks Sue Ramirez' theater debut. She recently starred in the TV series Iron Heart and appeared in films Cuddle Weather and Rewind. 

Ramirez's partner, theater veteran and Tiktok star Reb Atadero, is currently playing Mark Cohen in the local Rent. He previously appeared in musicals like Lungs, Tick, Tick... Boom, and Breakups and Breakdowns.

Meanwhile, Karylle and Nyoy Volante are certainly not newbies to the theater scene. Karylle staged her return to the theater through her critically acclaimed performance in the 2022 staging of Carousel. She also recently reprised her role as Sita in Rama, Hari. 

Volante on the other hand, recently played Mitch Mahoney in the recent staging of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
