On inside of portfolio "During his lifetime he was perhaps America's most celebrated performer. In fact, he was acclaimed internationally for his performance on stage, radio and screen and for his moving portrayals of "Old Scrooge" in the dramatizations of Dickens' Christmas Carol. However, his dramatic achievements were so overshadowing that it wasn't until the twilight of his life that another of his great talents was recognized - hit attachment to art. Some say it was Lionel Barrymore's first love. This portfolio contains a selection of Mr. Barrymore's finest etchings reproduced on lustrous gold foil. Instantaneously brilliant, the highlights created by this unique and exciting process, in effect, add new perspective and dimension to the charm and character of the work. Gold-Etch prints are made even more striking by a narrow black wood or plastic frame. And, in either individual or group settings, they magnificently complement the most decorative arrangement.
