We had a ball visiting the Lincoln Children's Zoo. It is the perfect size to visit. We fed the Zebra's and that was an awesome experience. The train ride was nice to see other animals and get some cool air while looking over the entire zoo complex. The zoom was very clean and we really like that. A must see visit.

This is zoo #49 for us. The name says it all, this is a children's zoo, so there are a ton of playgrounds at this zoo. They had an interesting animal mix at this zoo. They didn't have much in way of hooved animals or large African animals ( no zebras, lions, or hippos). Where they excelled was having great habitats and they had a ton of small animals that are not at a ton of zoos ( bush baby, fossa, and a few others). They also had a great Cheetah exhibit. Would come here again if in Lincoln.

Total disappointment, This place wouldn't take 100 $ bill, I am sure it's because the color of my skin. I had to drive back home to get smaller bills. Also the teller looked under age to be working and told me I could purchase tickets for the train ride at the train station (which is not true) I would never go back... I hope all the employees read this...

We went to the Zoo lights. It was magnificent! One of the best light displays I have ever seen. It was also wheel chair and stroller friendly. They have a superb sounds system with them lights changing to all colors.

The zoo is on the same lot as the rose gardens and across the street from the sunken gardens. 3 venues within a block of each other! (The gardens are FREE!)
It is an easy zoo to walk. If kids get restless they have a few play areas and climbing activities. You can pet and feed the giraffes. The animals are easy to see and enjoy. They also have a few fun animal sculptures. Several flower beds to enjoy as well. Kids big and little enjoy.

Took son, wife and 2 sons along with my wife. Beautiful day and a really nice zoo for children. Easy to walk and grandson loved feeding the giraffes. Have a train ride and also horseback rides. Not The Omaha zoo but was very nice and well maintained. Was $58 for 2 seniors,2 adults and our 2 kids under 2 were free. Amazing how busy it was

The grandkids had a blast!
Train ride was the best...and feeding the giraffes....was a special treat!
Food was rather pricey...corn dogs cold in the middle.
Staff seems rather young and inexperienced.

We had some extra time waiting for friends and thought we'd give it a try. We were blown away! Just big enough to be enjoyable and not to big to worn out trying to see everything. Price very reasonable. If we lived in the area we'd buy an annual pass. Not at all like Henry Doorly which is too large and ridiculously over priced. You couldn't get a better bang for your buck by coming here.

This was the perfect thing to do for myself and two teen girls after visit the UNL campus. We were looking for something fun to do that was not college related and this fit the bill. Close to downtown (about a 10 minute drive) and just the right size for a few hours fun. Don’t leave without feeding the giraffes, and look for the peacocks, penguins and flamingos! They also have some goats, camels, turkeys, snow leopards, an anteater, and lots of monkeys!

Great small zoo! Avian flu concerns had some birds off exhibit, but that was communicated well. Giraffe exhibit is great. Definitely worth a visit & a nice alternative to the massive zoo in Omaha

Are dogs allowed at the zoo? I was surprised to see a beautiful Pit there today.
What is the admission price for Seniors and or yearly membership for family?

It says $12 seniors. They have reciprocal admissions if you belong to another zoo.
