Here we are with yet another series from the Kardashian-Jenner family full of raging materialism and empty navel-gazing. The family has been profiting from their hyper-extended "15 minutes of fame" for nearly a decade, and you'd think by now they'd have run out of contrived dramas and scripted revelations to televise.

Kylie says this show will help fans understand "the real me," but as it progresses, it becomes painfully clear that even she doesn't know who that person is. She complains about having to keep up appearances and the stresses of fame, yet she spends all her time courting it via sexy selfies, club appearances, and magazine covers. Hypocritical? Sure, but hardly surprising given that the 19-year old has literally grown up in the limelight, with a fame-skewed perception of what life is really like. In a rare moment of self-reflection, she admits that she doesn't really know who she's trying to please with her lifestyle, which is depressing, especially as she doesn't pursue this train of thought in any meaningful way. She claims she has "no interests" other than her makeup line, and a show about someone with no interests outside of her own concerns is anything but "must see" TV.
