Watch out because there’s another Tom tantrum up ahead! In this exclusive clip from the next episode of Below Deck Mediterranean, Chef Tom Checketts storms into the galley as provisions are arriving and declares, “This fucking looks bad on me again.” And for the first time, maybe ever, Captain Sandy ends up reprimanding…Malia!?

Tom radios his girlfriend Malia (then throws the device on the counter) so that he can vent to her about the disaster in front of him. As soon as she appears in the galley (and, uh, it was quick), he tells her, “I’m done, I’m done, I’m fucking done, I cannot do it. Guests arrive in an hour. Look at this, how is that fair?” he says, gesturing to the stacked galley. Malia, of course, offers to help him unpack all the goods, but he continues to storm around and throw a strop (British for tantrum), saying, “This is fucking unfair.”

Luckily, Captain Sandy arrives just in time to intervene, but even she feels the wrath of Tom as he’s rude to her by brushing off her useful info about fish arriving. “I think that bread looks good,” she tells him of the gorgeous rolls sitting on the counter, but he disagrees. “That bread’s burnt. That bread’s going in the bin right now,” he says to firm disagreement from Sandy and Malia, and so he backs down and says, “OK, OK, it’s not, but please, it’s fucking burnt already. Don’t try and humor me at the moment.”

So Sandy’s leadership savvy kicks in and she motions for Malia to leave the galley with her. “Stop saving him. Stop,” the captain instructs the bosun. And while Malia beings to protest, Sandy stays firm. “No. Stay out of the galley. Just stay out of it. He needs to come to me, you’re not the captain. Stay out of the galley, stay away from him, and let him do his job because here’s the reality. When you start filtering, he doesn’t get his information to me so I can sort it.”

Malia tries to explain that “he needs help putting the provisions away,” but Sandy’s so serious about her stance she says, “No, stay out of it, anybody but you [can help].”

“He’s gonna walk off the boat,” Malia tells her boss. And maybe that’s supposed to be a threat, but not one that concerns Captain Sandy as she replies, “Well, let him walk.” Oh, snap!

But the most devastating moment is yet to come, as the camera returns to Tom in the galley who is seen chucking the entire tray of bread rolls right into the garbage, and then tossing the tray at the sink. It’s the rudest thing to happen to carbs since Chef Mila’s abominable nachos (I still stand by Chef Kiko’s).

Ultimately, Sandy is right here. Malia’s taken some slack online, and rightfully so, that she’s omnipresent in the galley now that Tom is the chef, but it’s hard to remember her regularly unpacking produce when Kiko was holding down the fort. Was she worried when Kiko was threatening to leave? She fought to share a cabin with Tom, so she should let that be their shared space and worry about the exterior of the boat because guess what? It appears there’s just as much dysfunction happening out there.

RIP to that bread though, you did not die in vain.
