Ok, this book is not for "dummies" but it is not advanced either. An intermediate player will follow along with some ease and the songs will sound rich and complex without too much difficulty. It is worth the time and effort. If you want something really easy look for children's arrangements instead.

This is a great music book, and I'll be able to use it because I can read music, but for the novice, it's a far cry from a book for any dummy!

The songs are a lot more difficult to play dummy or not.

I found this product frankly disappointing and don't think it belongs int the For Dummies series. I wasn't expecting to learn to play piano with this book, however, I expected easy arrangements with fingering suggestions and ordered by level of difficulty (for dummies, right?). As it happens, I can't play any of the songs in the book at my current skill level. As a way of comparison, I have scores I purchased for Let It Be and Yesterday that don't pretend to be for dummies, however, are simpler arrangements with fingering suggestions. I can play these with no problems.
In summary, this book is an oxymoron, buy it only if you are NOT at the dummy piano level. As a song book for skilled players is OK

I thought this book would teach my grandson how to play Beatles songs on the piano. I figured if he wanted to learn how to play the piano, what better way than to let him learn with Beatles songs. But there is nothing there on teaching or method of how to play the piano. This is just a music book, with a center section that informs you about the origin of each song. This is the first Dummies book I ever purchased. I always thought these were books that helped you to learn? I feel I have been duped, making me the dummy for expecting more of this book. Save your money and just buy a music book of Beatles songs, if that is your intent.
