Hey gang, Valkor here. Luke Goss ranks high as one of my favorite action stars, who deserves more mainstream shine. Seriously, get this guy in an MCU or DCU film, something, anything that’s major and let whatever else follow. I’ve reviewed my share of his films such as Pressed, Interview with a Hitman, and Tekken (he’s more of a costar in this one). And mostly, dude excels! But Goss is back with Legacy; While it’s not a heavy action title, it’s still worth watching.
Legacy centers on British Intelligent Agent Gray (Goss), who at the jump of the film, is arresting this huge drug cartel kingpin named Boranovic (Elya Baskin) mainly for crimes against humanity. However, for the charges to stick, Gray will need the testimony of one of Boranovic’s surviving victims (a woman whom he raped) and her son to prove he did the things he did. There were two kids, but a hitman hired by Boranovic named Z (Roberto Sanchez) killed one. And now the other child, Jake (Renton Pexa) is Z’s next target. Jake is out with his adopted family on a summer hunting trip, only now the family is the hunted as Z is hot on their trail. Fortunately for the family, Gray was able to catch up to them before Z. And now he must do his best to at least keep Jake alive or die trying!
I once did a top ten for monster/slashers that you might not oh heard of... but should. And with all my downtime, I may do the same with action stars, because there are quite a few. Luke Goss would be right up there. And if you don’t know about him, then check out Legacy among other titles. Except for Pressed. Okay, maybe Pressed because it was an intense ride until the ending, which I felt was disappointing. But enough of that, let’s dip into the TOV Breakdown and find out why give Legacy a shot!
The Good:
Legacy combines a solid story, with the right amount of action and drama that blends to form one entertaining film; It isn’t as action-heavy as I’d have liked, but there’s just enough that makes this 98-minute trek worth the journey. The film is beautifully shot, well-paced, and the choreography on the fight scenes were on point. Could more action have been added? Absolutely! However, there's nothing about this film that's disappointing. Finally, kudos to the acting as Goss does some of his best work as Agent Nolan Gray; His gritty exterior makes him someone not to be messed with. The same goes for Roberto Sanchez as Z, who makes for a serious villain with a human side. I didn’t go into Legacy with high expectations. However, I really enjoyed the film and look forward to seeing more from Goss.
The Bad:
My only real gripe, which isn't much, is the lack of action. Other than that, I don't have any real issues with the film.

Legacy is available now on Redbox, but I feel the film deserves a much wider, digital release. It’s been a while since I’ve sat down with a decent action film. And I’m glad Legacy came along to fill that void. I highly recommend giving this one a try. So, out of TOV 5 stars, I’m giving Legacy a solid 4.
