Obituary for Herbert Leo Eastman

Herb passed away peacefully, with family by his side on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Gimli Community Health Centre, Gimli, Manitoba.

Dad was predeceased by his parents Halfdan and Una, brother Dori Eastman, sister Gudlaug, brother-in law Kris, brother-in law Victor, sister-in law Deanna and brother-in law Roy.

He leaves to treasure his memory Anna, Gisli, Carol (Billy), Halli (Judy), Robert and Olive. Also leaving to mourn are his children; Darrell, Glenda (Marlin) and Tracey, grandchildren; Curtis (Tanya), Kyla (Chris) and Jordan, great-grandchildren; Emmalee, Alaska, Keyen, Ava and Khaysen, along with special friend Merle and her children and grandchildren.
Born into a very musical family, Dad loved to sing with his brothers and sisters.

He worked construction as a foreman for Marine Transport and Swing Boss for Sigfusson Transportation in Northern Ontario. Dad was also part of the first crew of Mystery Lake Diamond Drillers.
