Lebo Mothiba has been dealt another setback with Strasbourg's South Africa international forward suffering a thigh injury that will sideline him for "some time", according to the Ligue 1 Uber Eats club's coach Julien Stéphan.
Mothiba has played just 22 minutes of French top flight football this season, and faces a new lay-off after sustaining the injury in training on Friday.
"He's hurt his thigh," said Stéphan, who is awaiting the results of further medical examination on the problem. "For the moment, we don't know if there's a tear."
A knee injury reduced Mothiba to just one minute of competitive league football for Strasbourg last season before he joined Troyes on loan for the second half of the campaign, scoring twice in 13 league appearances for them.
