The tower is an incredible sight to see and I was surprised with how much it truly leans! Pictures don't do this quirky tower enough justice. I would highly recommend a visit when in the Tuscany region. The whole square is beautiful

I didn’t quite know what to expect, but the magic of the leaning tower of Pisa and the cathedral and baptistery nearby for me, were just indescribable. It was beautiful! Not only the uniqueness of the fact that the tower is leaning, but its construction and facade really are quite magnificent. I was overboard and overjoyed. we did a nighttime visit first, when the crowds were not so large, and then a Sunday morning visit when it was quite busy. No wonder it is one of the modern wonders of the world.

I had been to Pisa about 21 years ago but wasn't able to climb the tower. This time I was with a group and our leader got us tickets for just about the last group that was allowed up. It's 250-ish steps but there is plenty of width and headroom for the first half of the way. The second half gets a lot narrower but there is still plenty of headroom so you are not likely to feel claustrophobic. The views of the baptistery and the town itself are well worth the climb up. Get your tickets early! (I'd shoot for near the end of the day as there will likely be less people in the tower with you.

Absolutely loved the Leaning Tower of Pisa. So much more beautiful than I had imagined. It has a serenity all of its own. This was a whistle stop tour for photos but would dearly like to go back and take my time actually going inside.

Everyone talks about the Tower as if it's the only thing that is there. There is much more. The Cathedral is just breathtaking as is the Cemetery. The museum is meh but the Duomo is spectacular on the outside but rather bland on the inside. Everyone says pre-book your tickets. This is only essential if you want to climb the tower. If not, you can queue and pay to see the other monuments alone. Each monument is €2 or a group ticket is €10 for all monuments except the tower. It's quite a walk from the train station but there are fixed rate fees for a taxi of €10.60 (correct at the time of this review). Well worth a visit. Hints: there are a number of restaurants and cafés but not enough to fee everyone who visits. If you want to save some dish, take a packed lunch and suy on the steps of the Cathedral or Duomo. There are no picnic benches.

One of the most famous and iconic monuments of Italy, if the not the most famous of all. I'm glad that they moved the souvenir booths outside the Piazza years ago. Go early to avoid crowds.

I think 1 day in Pisa is enough. It’s a pretty city, but the outskirts of Pisa are way more beautiful. We rented a car, and driving round the area was fantastic. We stayed half hour away, in a village called Morrona ! Amazing , stunning views. Excellent location to travel to vineyards, sight seeing, walks

If in the area, this is a must see. Free to walk around grounds, absolutely beautiful! There is a fee if you wish to climb to the top of the tower (I did not). There is also a wall surrounding the premises that you can walk- best view from the wall. Small fee around 5 euros to access the wall. If you are afraid of heights, I would skip that.

241 steps up and down (Same way) mean it get hot and sticky. Great views from the bell tower at the top. Timed tickets prevent it getting overrun and too busy. Very light security check on the way in. No bags at all are permitted so you much use the lockers first.

We got a train there and expected it to be a quick trip, however there is loads to do. The tickets for everything but climbing the tower were only €10 each so it seemed silly not to. Cathedral is impressive, and in the baptistery one of the staff does an "echo demonstration" where he sings some notes for the echoing effect which is remarkable. There is a market just outside, selling souvenirs and clothes, and the town is interesting. The tower itself has an incredible lean on it, although it doesn't always show well in photos.
