I just got finished failing the final mission of the leader of the pack tactical op 3 times in a row and I’m just curious as to what gun does the most dps/ what is best for damaging the boss. Should I just give up until I scrap enough money together to buy aiden pierce?

Considering how weapons are assigned in the game you're asking the wrong question, you should ask what operative is the best one for Leader of the Pack.
It's either G36 + Berserker + Physically fit one with G36 and Grenade Launcher equipped.
Or Berserker + Physically fit + Albion Vendetta one with Grenade Launcher and LTL SMG.
First one is just good all around, has more health, and you can heal yourself killing enemies/drones. Second one, when ping is great (especially when you're the host) is even better, because his grenade launcher will one shot any type of soldiers that Gog will throw at you. You can wipe them out using grenade launcher almost single handedly.
Of course, you need a hacker who will hack a terminal, it's better to have DJ with Physically fit perk. That perk will allow you to hack terminals longer and don't get distracted by damage. Meanwhile DJ buff will help your team to defeat Gog using 2 hacks only. Just run to them after the hack.
Crash dummy perk is also very effective against GOG's rockets, grenades and explosive drones. First responder's shield helps reviving people. Someone with Bandana might be helpful, when players can't kill riot drones fast. And LMG Negev is also good in terms of damage.
The team I was with was pretty competent the only thing we struggled with was dps after the hacks.
I was running an op with combat roll, berserker, and the mp5 smg/ vector smg. I was also running the ar cloak help revive teammates which worked pretty well
Is it even worth running the smg’s I had or should I just go back to the LTL smg? I had asked which guns were the best bc it seemed like the smgs I had took a little to long to kill and overall we still had a small chunk of health left after the 4th hack.
Overall I’m gonna look more into the dj and ops with better perks. Thanks for the advice I truly appreciate it
From the sound of your loadout you are on the right path, I'd swap those smgs for rifles and you should be good to go.
