      Critics Consensus

Last Night doesn't opt for easy answers, but the framework and characters overall are too slight and plain to be compelling.

gemma h Brilliant. Very thought-provoking. I recommend to people who like to think and take an interest in the value of relationships and their foundations. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review ella t What a hidden gem. One of my favourite love stories. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review isla s To me, this seemed a somewhat predictable film, in terms of the plot development. I thought it must surely be based on a play but when I looked it up online, it seems it isn't. The performances are ok but its not exactly a memorable, certainly not a stand out, film and overall I'd say its ok but no more. I wouldn't go out of your way to see this, perhaps unless your a particularly big fan of Keira Knightley perhaps. Eva Mendes is ok in it too but there's little else that especially appealed to me. Its very much a film that I felt was/is aimed at upper middle class people, which is centered on morality. It made me think somewhat of the film Closer, starring Jude Law. Its not an awful film as such but its just not particularly...good either, so I wouldn't especially recommend it as such, no. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member You will be haunted by this (in a good way) for days after viewing ... Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member I love Kiera Knightley but this is one of the most uninteresting films I have ever seen. I didn't even mean to watch this I got mixed up with another film for my film class. Boring in dialogue, diversity, visuals, story, the whole thing literally was the most difficult to watch movie I have ever sat through, simply because it felt like I was dragged along to a business party where everyone hates both each other and their jobs. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member So boring. Thought it was a nice movie to watch in a friday night, but it was a choice to regret. Lame characters and predictable story.
