Biografie
Belgian singer Lara Crokaert (born January 9th, 1970), better known by her stage name Lara Fabian, is a hugely successful musician, known for her incredible soprano voice that spans three octaves.
At a young age, Fabian began her musical education, studying at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels at the age of eight. Her time there helped to develop her vocal talent, taking inspiration from her classical voice training as much as she did from Queen and Barbara Streisand. After finishing her time at the school, Fabian entered a number of European competitions, winning several prizes. In 1988, she was invited to represent Luxembourg in the 33rd Eurovision Song Contest, which earned her a respectable fourth place, with the song "Croire (Trust)" selling 500,000 copies in Europe.
In 1990, she moved to Montreal, Canada, forming her own publishing company, Productions Clandestines, with her friend Rick Allison. Fabian found success straight away, with her self-titled debut album, which sold well in French-speaking Canada. Relentless touring helped bolster her popularity and upon the release of "Carpe Diem" in 1994, she had achieved a breakthrough hit, with the record becoming certified triple-Platinum the following year. Her third album, "Pure" was to be the record that garnered Fabian international stardom and mainstream success, selling two million copies in France.
Fabian next looked to create an English language record, with the self-titled release in 1999 expanding her popularity to new heights. The record debuted at number one on the US Billboard Album Chart, reaching number one in France and number two in Belgium. From there on, Lara Fabian cemented her global popularity, recording a further eight albums, as well as four live albums, that have sold an incredible 20 million records worldwide. As well as French and English, she has also recorded music in several different languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, Hebrew, Russian, German and Greek.
Lara Fabian has won a huge number of awards throughout her career. She has won five Félix awards and five Juno Awards and is widely regarded as the most successful Belgian-born female artist of all time.

With a career spanning over three decades and over twenty million records sold world-wide, Lara Fabian has steadily worked her way into becoming an international superstar. The Belgian born multi-lingual Belgo-Canadian singer started her career entering and winning various European singing competitions, her three octave range and incredible talent did not go unnoticed. Taking the decision to sing in French, Fabian released her debut single ‘L'Aziza est en pleurs / Il y avait’ in 1986 as a homage to the French singer Daniel Balavoine. In 1988 she was invited by the Luxembourg channel RTL TV to represent the country in the Eurovision song contest. With her song ‘Croire’ she came 4th in the competition, losing out to Canadian songstress Celine Dion who won it for Switzerland. Despite not winning the competition, the single was a huge success in Europe and sold over half a million copies. In an attempt to kick-start her career, Fabian moved from Belgium with her music collaborator and settled in Montreal, Canada. Welcomed with open arms, in 1991 she released her self-titled debut album in French which sold over 100,000 copies, eventually being certified platinum. To get the radio stations on her side she released the dance-pop singles ‘Le jour où tu partira’ and ‘Les murs’. Fabian’s biggest success however came when she released her second album ‘Carpe Diem’ in 1994 which went gold three weeks after release and earned her two Felix Awards. Following her mainstream success she signed with the subsidiary French Polydor in 1997. Still riding the train of success, Fabian released her first English self-titled album in 1999 which went straight to number one spurring her first English dance-pop hit ‘I Will Love Again’. Touring extensively across the world, Fabian has continually won the hearts of all who see her live. She sings with so much passion which warms the room as she brings an endearing level of intimacy. There is an elegance and grace about her as she connects with every single member of the audience who have avidly followed her career from the beginning. Easily floating through various musical styles with ballads and more poppy songs really demonstrates her incredible versatile vocals capabilities. With tonnes of personality oozing out of every pore, Lara Fabian puts on a truly magical show.

I have been a fan of Lara Fabian for 16 years or so.I thought she would never perform in concert after all this time.Thank goodness i was wrong and i was there to witness her performance.Her concert in Beverly Hills,CA at the Saban Theatre on March 31,2015 was Amazing and her voice was as Beautiful as ever.I only hope i don't have to wait another 16 year's to see her again.I highly recommend seeing her sing LIVE.I enjoyed the french song's just as much as the english one's,especially 'I Will Love Again'.It is a truly memorable experience.Highly recommend.

Lara is an amazing artist and I truly enjoyed the show. The band and backup singers were amazing!
On the down side, the engineer who managed the lights should be slapped, some back spot kept shining on the audience of the first balcony, leaving many people to have to keep their eyes shut for parts of the concert, as it was just painful to watch! The staging and imagery where somewhat simple, but that voice and personality forgives anything!!!

Thank you Lara for a beautiful show. I enjoy it from the beginning till the end. And it tuch me that you tell us that you had nerves for to sing in belgium for you're one peaple. There was such an emotion especialy in the song je suis malade. When you sing in french the emotion get deeper. The numbers from the camouflage cd are life better. Thank you for just being you. That makes you warm person and beautiful.

Was “extraordinaire”!! For me was a dream come true to see her live, and I was not disappointed: her voice and the whole band were spectacular: the new songs with very beautiful messages and beautiful melodies and the “classics” were very emotional.
I love it and I can’t wait till the next Lara FABIAN Concert!

In generaal the show was good. One point of criticism is the abnormal low and booming basesound. The base of the drummer was far too low, too loud and too booming. This dirturbed often terribly the songs of Lara. Her songs without the drummsound were clearly the best of the evening for listening.

Memorable and entertaining, but also moving and sentimental.
Her new album explores new areas of electronic and diva pop!
Truly majestic voice that stays untouched by time. Her charisma is endless.

I adore Lara but the show in Athens was cancelled for the second time (Dec. 12/Feb. 1st). I was very disappointed and people was really mad having booked flights from all over Greece and hotel rooms. I hope this won't happen ever again.

Amazing performance
Lara and the band were absolutely perfect but I think the event manager could spend a little more on her, on dress and stage design and even a bigger stage for her
But over all it was amazingly good
