Lana Turner lays bare her life, her secrets, her scandals, her ups and downs. I felt she was being sincerely honest in her memoirs. Of course, she may have chosen to omit things, one for instance I know of may have been her daughter’s secret to tell. I noticed that no co-writer was credited, though I’m sure that she must have had help of some kind. This was a very concise book, in fact too concise. The last 10 to 15 years up to present day (of 1982) was mentioned in the last 30 pages or so. I wished this could have been longer. If you love Lana Turner, this is the book for you. She lived it. She survived it all. Her strength and vitality come through in this testament to a life that was lived to the fullest.
