It’s free to visit but they do ask for a donation (amount of your choice). Small place that wouldn’t take more than an hour to go through, but there’s lots of interesting history of the location and old artifacts are well preserved.

Abundant wildlife with spectacular views of Mt Konocti and the surrounding volcanoes. Very relaxing and enjoyable. The concerts in the park are well attended and fun.

The best part of my 13 day Northern California trip, was visiting the KAZ Winery. Kaz's hospitality and generosity exceeded my expectations for a now small Winery. The Sangria and Red Port were my favorites. Highly recommended stop in Lakeport.

You know the saying one person's junk is another person's treasure. This place had some many treasures. I spend hours looking around and finding interesting stuff around each corner. Basically it is made up of 10 vendors with very different taste and treasures. From coins to star wars. From vintage glassware to wedding dresses. I will go back again.

Edenberry farm is a sweet little berry farm. After talking with the woman at the Lakeport Farmers Market and finding out that it was opening day for their u-pick operation, we decided to stop on over. What a treat, being out in the sunshine picking raspberries while talking to their neighbor from across the street. (Truth be told, the berries weren't as sweet as we'd hoped they'd be, probably because it was still very early in the season, but my better half said they'll be just fine for making jam).

On paying for out treasures, the young lady of the Edenberry family, Anika, began to talk to us about her chickens, and asked if we wanted to see some of the eggs they produced. Having kept Rhode Island Reds ourselves, we were quite excited to see what she had. Turns out Anika had a beautiful assortment of colored eggs being produced by a variety of chickens.

If you're at the lake, this is a fun side jaunt.

Fantastic Trail keeping the heart beating the whole time. Although on the outbound, and first part of the return, it feels like you've been walking uphill for days. As you can see by my track, I was unable to go the last 8th of a mile or so on the outbound leg because of a rapidly flowing river. I probably could have negotiated away across it, but with temperatures dropping, running the risk of being soaked was not worth any benefit. There is a junction during this hike, look for the confused chaotic walking in circles on my GPS track, with some very confusing no trespassing signs. This is one of those examples of a time you just have to follow the GPS even if it doesn't look like you're walking on a trail. About 25 ft of the trail is a little bit overgrown hiding the correct fork in the road. As usual, all trails had trouble tracking location compared to elevation. And when I compare the all trails route statistics to g a i a GPS, there's a half mile difference. I tend to trust g a i a GPS overall alltrails any day.

That Ranch is an Amazing place. From the front gate with colored pumpkins and gourds galore, to the Get Lost-Corn Maze, to The Cove full of games for young and old, to the Train Ride through the Sunflower Alley, this is a magical place! Take time to read all the signs too!!
