Lake Highlands High School Reviews
Rating 3.78 out of 5 354 reviews
My time at Lake Highlands High School was truly heartwarming. The best parts of my experience were the strong sense of community and the unwavering support from both my peers and teachers. Whether it was cheering each other on at sports events or collaborating on projects, there was always a spirit of camaraderie that made me feel valued and included. The dedication and passion of the teachers were also remarkable, as they consistently went avove and beyond to ensure our success. However, balancing academics and extracurricular activities could be challenging, and I believe there is room for improvement in providing mental health support for students. Overall, through, my experience at Lake Highlands High School was one of growth , friendships, and warmth that I will always cherish in the bottom of my heart.
Lake Highlands has been a diverse and fun experience, the student body represents not just a plethora of cultures and beliefs, but an ecosystem of people who interact closely on a daily basis. A noticeable feature about the school is the sense of community around it, both literally and figuratively; the school is positioned within the Lake Highlands neighborhood and the members pour resources and care into everything we do. This care continues within the walls of LH through the genuine excitement and concern every teacher displays toward each individual, allowing our learning to flourish. Despite teachers' efforts to encourage a love for learning, administration is a weak point that noticeably interferes with student's happiness, interaction with others and want to be at Lake Highlands. Decisions to reform student life, confine student expression and a clear disconnect from the kids' needs and experience haven't ruined my experience but are noticeably upsetting the Wildcat students.
As a freshman at Lake Highlands High School, my experience has been less than stellar. One of the major drawbacks is the lack of a welcoming atmosphere for newcomers. The school culture seems cliquish and exclusive, making it challenging for freshmen to integrate and feel a sense of belonging.
The academic environment is also a source of disappointment. While there are certainly dedicated teachers, the overall quality of education feels inconsistent. Some classes lack the innovation and engagement needed to captivate students, making the learning experience dull and unexciting.
Facilities and resources are another area of concern. The school infrastructure appears outdated, and there is a noticeable lack of investment in modern amenities. From cramped classrooms to outdated technology, it feels like Lake Highlands High School is not keeping up with the times, hindering the overall educational experience.
