- Jill BBox Elder, SD200 contributionsWhat a great park! Beautiful to walk along the water... bring a meal if you'd like lots of spots to eat. Playground is amazing, even I was jealous 😂 I wanted to play & I'm in my 50's! Bathrooms near playground & a Marina too. Great spot for fishing too! So many photo opportunities and a great way to get a little excise.Written December 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - trhoward4321The Woodlands, TX34 contributionsWeather permitting, this place is great for splashing, swinging, sliding, climbing, and then some. Plenty of spaces to sit quietly as we watched our son enjoy the facilities and other children and adults alike.Written October 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - The H17 contributionsSuper fun! Like Disney Land for grown-ups. Great beer, plenty of food, music, and games. I loved everything I ordered. Wish there were a bit more to do in the area, but this made our quick stopover worth it.Written April 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BillybobTXHouston, TX24 contributionsI went to L'Auberge 12-14 December. I did not stay at the hotel but I spent my entire time in Lake Charles at the casino. It is clearly better than the new Horseshoe, Nugget or even Coushata. I wanted to play video poker and I would say it has more video poker games than the other three combined. Must be at least a hundred and that is not counting flat tops at the bar.
A good mix of table games. One day the Mississippi Stud table was open (I won) and the next at the same time of day it was closed so I played Texas Hold Em against the dealer (I lost). Both during the day were $10 minimums. The dealers were nice and the cocktail waitresses were plentiful near the video poker area. It is large inside and to be truthful I was disoriented often. The parking was plentiful and close.Written December 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The trails were marked well and we were able to experience the swamp ecosystem without getting muddy or wet.Written February 16, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Al GTomball, TX3 contributionsI can't rate this a full 10 only because some of the restaurants were not open during our period of stay. We stayed 6/14 - 6/16/2023 my rating is on the staff especially Billy Breedlove getting us the room and me a tee time. Then because it was our 55th wedding anniversary a big shout out to Zoe L. Duplechain VIP concierge at the Golden Nugget. I had some special requests and between Mr. Breedlove and Ms. Duplechain they made it happen. Thanks guys and yes we will be staying again.Written June 17, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Patti MZebulon, GA5 contributionsVery nice. My father was a military man and so is my husband. This was so humbling. I took pictures to show our American legion post at home. Thank you so much for this patriotic display. It started raining and I couldn’t get any more pictures.Written June 30, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mvandenHumble, TX11 contributionsWe visited because it was rainy. Our expectations weren't high based on reviews and the size of the town. So we were pleasantly surprised at the number and quality of exhibits. I think there was a birthday party so the first floor was chaotic while we were there. But we loved the second floor which wasn't so busy. The first floor looked more appealing on the way out, so I recommend going upstairs and coming back later in your visit if the first floor is full of screaming wild children.Written November 28, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pamela SLake Charles, LA27 contributionsThis is a beautiful place to drive through if you're wanting to just go site seeing. I've driven through many times an never get tired of seeing it again. They just built a new house I want to go see now that it is finished. Those old homes have been around for a long time.Written April 2, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
