Q:
Anyone know if friends can park free or is it only the guest who made the reservation? My friends will not be staying at the hotel, they will visit me for a couple of hours.
A:
If they came with you yes but do go to the office to get a parking permit because they do check. Awesome hotel and staff by the way totally recommend staying here

So we booked a reservation and we got to this hotel The first room had no TV service the TVs did not work it was hell to get into the door because all of their locks are old and beat up. The next room we went to the TVs did not work The heater in the room did not work The refrigerator wasn't working. The third room we stayed in the heater worked only one of the TVs worked The bed was worn out like some wrestling matches on it cuz the mattress was so sunken in I had to sleep on the filthy couch thank goodness we brought our own sheets. The lock on this door takes an active Congress to get in as well This hotel is subpar and I will refuse to stay here one more night We actually booked a hotel next door to get out of this place after driving all day You want to come into something and when you pay for it you want some of the amenities to work This place has gone downhill and I would consider it as a ghetto hotel.

their jobs.
Not too bad but staff seems like they hate their jobs. We booked a 5 night stay for my husband and I and two small fur babies. When I made reservation it was just explained to me that it would be $20 per dog per night to to exceed $40 per stay. The front desk girl said that they charge 20 per dog per night which totaled out to be $200 (That was charged as a separate transaction not with the total of our stay)! My husband was already scared bc the day we left to go on vacation the reviews on multiple websites had bad reviews, but we decided to check it out. Once we got to our room,it was clean and all appliances were working. It was clean. So we were heading out to grab some dinner, and I returned to the front desk to show her step by step from Google to hotel policies. She then said she would need to call her manager. Manager on the phone told her no website is wrong. And basically oh well. I was then told that policy changed due to them not being affiliated with Wyndham for the last few months. But the website says by Wyndham, my receipt says it, my key even said it!! Also, don't get your hopes up on breakfast. All there is is juice, coffee, plain bagels, white bread for toast, cold cereal, instant oatmeal, waffle makers, hard boiled eggs and nasty looking sausage. Good if you are a grab and go person really. Contacted the corporate office of WYNDHAM hopefully they will be understanding and make it right. There were so many irritated people at the front desk, and the manager of the hotel should be ashamed to not teach better customer service than that. - Riya G.San Francisco, CA121187Jan 22, 2020
First time to stay in a INN, now I know the feeling. If you stay in a place (Inn) don't expect too
Much. Like super soft linens and pillows. But everything turned out ok. We were just their to sleep.
Light is a little off. Too bright. I was hoping a littLe bit dim.
Breakfast food is ok. Coffee not a fan though.
Staff are very friendly.
parking is free.
Thank you! - Shelley P.Gilroy, CA01Sep 7, 2022
Honestly, the front desk staff were entirely rude and dismissive throughout the entirety of my stay. Upon arrival they could not locate my reservation (which was prepaid) and insisted on charging me AGAIN to a different card. This ultimately led me to be late to the conference I was in town to attend. Once they finally did sort out my reservation issues, my husband and I went to our room only to find our issued key cards didn't work. The front staff insisted that I was not using the card correctly, and were not at all happy with me when I firmly said that I knew how to use them and they didn't work. Finally, they issued me two new cards which thankfully did work. During our stay while I was attending my conference my husband attempted to purchase snacks from the front desk (with cash) and was told that he couldn't do so unless he provided our room number - as if the front of staff was questioning whether or not he was an effing guest. My conference ran an hour longer than expected on our check out day and the front of staff yet again dismissed me and would not negotiate ANYTHING with me when I very politely requested a slightly later checkout time. To be completely honest, the only redeeming quality of our experience was the cold AC, which speaks to how poorly we felt treated and accommodated. I feel very sincerely that in all my interactions with the front desk staff that I was as polite as I absolutely could be. I will be copying this review and posting it to yelp to warn other potential customers. Very disappointed with your hospitality. (Rather, lack thereof.)

American Airlines gave us a voucher to stay here after canceling our flights. The hotel fits the purpose which is a place to sleep at. It is clean and fits our needs. The front staff was kind to suggest a place to grab a drink and have something to eat.

POST COVID REVIEW:
First off, I'd like to preface this review by saying that my my family (husband, child, pets) use to stay here all the time prior to Covid as it was conveniently located near family and central locations when we were in town visiting family. Originally from OC, we now live in NorCal, and La Quinta was a great place to stay, easy access, safe, clean and free/dog friendly! Seriously was at least 4/5 stars then....
We've booked three times since Covid started, cancelled twice, given the state of the pandemic in the State, let alone country and world. This is the first time we've been back since Christmas to OC and stayed at La Quinta, and my God, WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK has happened here?!
I get that Covid has taken a toll on the travel and hospitality industry, but by no means is it necessary to stoop to this level to fill your rooms. It's as if I left NorCal for OC, but somehow ended up in Stockton anyway....
Seriously, BEWARE, the clientele they have renting rooms at this place now is like subpar motel status most likely with long term rentals. Missing trash cans, dented fridges, rusted key readers, smoke filled "smoke-free" rooms, drug deals and meth heads everywhere. Not to mention the subwoofers rolling thru here after 10 pm, constant shouting and the cops driving by to check on the neighborhood (hotel-long term rental) crackheads...look at the parking lot and the vehicles parked in the lot speaks VOLUMES of the clientele they rent to now....
What an absolute disappointment this place has become. 10/10 WOULD NOT recommend coming to this place if you're a decent person, a family person, or want to get home to your family. Trust my word....the pity extra star is for what it used to be... - Paul E.San Francisco, CA01May 9, 2022
Dingy. The rooms smell. The walls and curtains are dirty. The floors are sticky. The water in the jacuzzi looked brownish. I don't know much about La Quinta hotels generally, but the "Wyndham" in the name suggested a far higher quality. If this were advertised as a budget hotel, and priced as such, it might be tolerable. But for the price, I highly recommend that you look elsewhere.

From the start the gentlemen from the lobby was not friendly at all. The room smelled so horribly like tabacco. Not even opening the door or turning on the air could fix it. The couch in the room had blood stains as well as others. The sheets were also dirty.

La Quinta was adequate but never had information on complimentary breakfast. Had I not seen it in advertising, I wouldn't have known. No info on location of ice machine or how to operate tv. Was a clean facility.
