I fell in love with La Jolla and its beautiful beaches and cliff walks. Also, it is much warmer there than Monterey/Carmel, which is equally beautiful. Will definitely return to La Jolla

This was definitely a must do on our list. We stopped by Children's beach to visit the sea lions and made a bunch of pit stops on the way. Great thing was that there is a ton of free parking so you can park, check out the area and move on.

Strolling the coastal walk is a wonderful way to pass a cooler CA day. It's nice to stop and enjoy the view from all the overlooks along the way. Wished we could have snorkled and kayaked but the weather wouldn't allow.

Enjoyed a double kayaking experience in La Jolla. Such a lovely little beach community and the weather was perfect. A bit choppy at first but our guides, Meaghan and Sean (I think) he is studying at UC San Diego were very attentive and informative - offering us much info regarding the history of the region, sea life (we saw several leopard sharks - harmless and about 5 leet long). Would definitely recommend this experience.

This is a great place to go with family to observe the seals playing on the beach. Several excellent restaurants within walking distance. Parking is hard to find. Go early!
