- PAULA39 contributionsAbsolutely great place , visited in morning was given a short video on the elephant sanctuary. Staff incredible, very knowledgeable, great group size. Got to make the elephants lunch . Had loads of photos and touching them . Even provided transport and lunch which was excellent . There stories are very sad but I guess now they are in a retirement home. Cared for and looked after by amazing staff. Please don’t go anywhere else in koh Samui especially if they ride them it’s so cruel. Thanks so much for our experience it was very special.Written May 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Daniel KHamburg, Germany6 contributionsIt is a very nice place to visit when you are on samui. The big buddha is just breath taking and the view from up there is amazing. But you must be aware that this is a tourist spot, so don’t expect the serenity you find in other temples. There are a lot of shops and hawkers and other tourists around.Written April 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - anjelo mPhilippines2 contributionsBeautiful temple in beautiful island. I visited this place with my friend. There are some fishes, turtle also in the pond around temple. - BalkrishnaShroffMumbai, India20,941 contributionsDuring our stay in Koh Samui, one evening we came here. It is located right in the middle of famous Chaweng street. It is a nice mall. There is something for everyone. There are individual shops and the biggest branded one was H&M. It is also children friendly. They have made a nice garden in the centre which was very well lighted.
Worth visiting...Written February 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I would recommend going earlier in the day as the beach did fill up by late afternoon.Written March 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Regina FGalway, Ireland43 contributionsA lovely beach walk, with plenty of restaurants dotted up and down it. It was very windy while we were there so we didn't go swimming in the water but wandering up the beach was pleasant.
I will say that the hackers that walk up and down the beach can be a bit pushy though, we had the same person pass us a few times & each time they tried to sell us something we didn't want or need.Written March 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The sand is soft, the sun is great, and the water is quite calm unlike Chaweng beach.
You can get here by grab or normal taxis, but i prefer Grab cause i like to keep my cash.Written March 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Lots if stairs and wonky steps to clamber over.Written August 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Nick HSt Leonards-on-Sea, UK468 contributionsIt is what it is, two rock formations, although one is more obvious than t'other! Down a narrow road from the ringroad, with paid parking. Numerous small shops and stalls vieing for the attention of the visiting tourists exist on both sides of the road. It is must do, however, it is hot there with no shade out on the rocks, so go see and leave.Written March 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JPJEast Malling, UK13 contributionsGreat beach for those based further down from Chaweng in Chaweng Noi.
Lovely sand and great beach bars / restaurants. Other beaches were not exactly packed when we were here but Chaweng Noi was particularly quiet.
Better than Lamai beach by far although not as much going on. If you like the quieter feel (and no driving baselines you get on other beaches) this may be the one for you.
Facing the see, very pretty. Facing the land, can be a little ‘messy’ and ‘concretey’ for Euro tastes. Same most places on Koh Samui though.
(Bit of a trek from Chaweng beach along the road without pavement, and not much to gain from doing so, so wouldn’t bother if you aren’t in Chaweng Noi to begin with.)Written April 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
