ART! Remembered Places, Woonsocket

by Nancy Thomas

“Remembered Places” had a grand opening on Friday, August 5th at Monument Square Arts in Woonsocket, and the exhibition will run until August 26th.

The artists are Abba Cudney, a graduate of the New Hampshire Institute of Art, focuses on still life work and interiors that deal with memory. Michael Rose is a Providence College alumnus and will be presenting a series of small-scale nocturnes executed in black and white.

Monument Square Arts is located at 2 Monument Square in Woonsocket, Rhode Island (across the street from the Stadium Theatre). Ample free street parking is available nearby. The gallery is just a twenty minute drive from Providence. Note: it is not air conditioned and is a small space – so it will not take too long to view the entire exhibit.

For information about this event or about the exhibition, contact Michael Rose at [email protected]

Rose said, “I am deeply flattered to be sharing my work alongside such a talented painter in my first two-person exhibition. Many of you already know Abba, who has been my colleague at the Providence Art Club for the last six years. After the close of our show, she will be moving home to Chicago, so this exhibition is the last opportunity to see her work in the Northeast in the near future.”

In addition to the opening, Rose will also be hosting a ZOOM talk TODAY:  Zoom artist talk about my paintings on Wednesday, August 10 at 6:30pm. This program is free and open to all.
