I am the parent of 2 alumni who went through the whole Kings Park school system. Both of my kids got great educations; both of them got into their first choice colleges, both of them were involved with sports and music. They both excelled academically and did quite well with AP courses. I credit their outstanding education to their terrific teachers.
I have been involved with KPHS as a volunteer for more than 40 years, and I can honestly say that the teacher involvement is among the best that can be found, the interest of the administration is also very high.
Perhaps KPHS's most glaring shortcoming is its lack of diversity, which is reflective of the community. The schools cannot diversify what isn't there.

The experience is amazing, the people are friendly and the teachers possess resources for student usage.
They rarely care about their music department especially when compared to athletics, their staff is completely unequipped to help students in any situation that is emotionally challenging and considering the events that have occurred the past few years in this school I think they may want to make that a priority because they also have no ability to help grieving children and in fact made things harder for many students grieving a principal, administrator or friend over the past two years. Knowing how poorly things have been handled I feel for their current students.
