Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- StephenCrossDublin, Ireland29,785 contributionsMany people incorrectly assume this is Killiney Hill. In fact the correct name is Victoria Hill and this Entryway to the park dates back to 21st June 1887 which celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Reign of Queen Victoria. It was opened by his Royal Highness Prince Albert of Wales. Recommended.Written 28 June 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - StephenCrossDublin, Ireland29,785 contributionsIn Greek mythology, Daedalus was a craftsman & artist a symbol of wisdom, knowledge, and power. Its a story of arrogance or hubris. He invented and built the labyrinth for king Minos of Crete. After finishing it, King Minos had Daedalus imprisoned within the labyrinth. He and his son Icarus devised a plan to escape by using wings made of wax that Daedalus had invented. They escaped, but Icarus did not heed his father's warnings and flew too close to the sun. The wax melted and Icarus fell to his death. Nice statute and interesting location for it.Written 28 June 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PMQuestionsNorth Yorkshire, UK34,739 contributionsI visited here as it was where my late grandmother had been christened at the end of the 19th century. Sadly, on a weekday, it was locked (perfectly understandable), but it all looks in very good condition and the adjacent land is separated off as a public garden. Nice to have made the connection and to know that I have been somewhere my great grandparents, grandmother, great aunt, and great uncle all, stood all that time ago.Written 11 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
