Aberdeen have signed Killian Phillips on loan from Crystal Palace, with Dons manager Barry Robson saying the 21-year-old is "energetic, hardworking and his strength of character is matched by his technical ability".

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international spent the first half of the season with Wycombe Wanderers, making 30 appearances for the side currently sitting 19th in England's League One.

"He's a player we've admired for some time," Robson told his club website. "He's proven this season already that he's capable given the number of games he has amassed.

"He's put in some big performances, including a man of the match display scoring for Ireland Under-21's against Italy.

"He's very good in both boxes and will add a real versatility to our midfield options."

California-born Phillips joined Palace from Drogheda United in January 2022 and made his only appearance for his parent club that August in a Carabao Cup tie against Oxford United.

He had a loan spell with Shrewsbury Town last season, winning the club's young player of the season award as they finished 12th, and now could make his Aberdeen debut at home to Dundee on Tuesday.
