This is such a great place to spend a few hours with kiddos! Love all the different play areas as well as the gated toddler space.
It reminded me a lot of the nearby museums like Imagine in Everett and HandsOn in Olympia. Lots of fun activities for kiddos to enjoy.
I don't think there was much of an outdoor play area as the others but my son really loved the water stations and the toddler play area with the apples and play kitchen.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 5, 2024
KidsQuest Museum: A Day of Highs and Lows
I recently took the kiddos for a fun-filled day at the KidsQuest Museum in Bellevue, Washington. It's a place brimming with a variety of interactive exhibits, all set to spark curiosity and joy in the little ones. However, our experience was akin to a rollercoaster ride, with its fair share of ups and downs.
A few areas of the museum seemed to have seen better days. The water play area, for example, had a couple of exhibits that were broken or worn down. Even the outdoor area had a few sun-bleached and broken toys scattered around. Considering the entry fee, it was a tad disappointing.
But hey, it wasn't all bumps and hiccups. The climbing structure right smack in the middle of the museum was an absolute hit with the kids. My four-year-old, in a bout of bravery, scurried up to the top all on her own, and even managed to climb down without any help. Now that was a sight to see!
The day we visited, the museum was bustling with little explorers, which meant my children had to wait their turn for some of the exhibits. It was a good lesson in patience, sure, but it did hamper their ability to enjoy everything at their own pace.
All in all, KidsQuest still holds its charm as a unique space for children to learn and have fun. A little bit of TLC and a plan for crowd management could really kick things up a notch. As it stands now, I'd give it a solid 2.5 out of 5 stars. Here's hoping for better on our next visit!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Aug 15, 2023
What a fun museum for kids to get their energy out!
Stopped by KidsQuest Children's Museum on a Friday morning at 10:30am. The main parking lot is quite small and was already full so we parked at the adjacent lot (close to the library structure) by the park. $14 per adult and any child over the age of 1.
There were a few play areas down on the first floor (Water Play, Atrium Climber, OnTheGo) and an outdoor area as well, but a majority of the exhibits were upstairs (City Scape, Story Tree, Tot Orchard, etc.). Before arriving, we thought 2 hours would be a stretch here but the kids had so much fun and time went by quick.
Great museum for play and learning. Thankfully we came on a weekday morning so it wasn't too crowded with more than enough space for the kids to run and play without waiting.Helpful 6Thanks 1Love this 7Oh no 0 - 94435292Nov 30, 2023
Amazing! A little pricey, but there were so many floors of fun! You can definitely spend the whole day here. Except I don't remember there being a food area to sit down and have some lunch. We spent hours here from opening until lunch time. So much to see and do! Even I had fun myself.

We looked at all the children's museums in the area, and kidsquest made the most sense for us by far! With an affordable membership and indoor and outdoor fun, it's a must have. We typically stop in weekly and play for a bit, but I will say we've only really explored the young kids area as we have 2 under 2. :)

My kid had a great time. They have lots of activities for toddlers as well as bigger/younger kids. A nice place for a cold night and you want your kid to burn some energy! Went on a weekend, crowded but not so much that you don't get a turn to play. Activities varied from story time books, toddler area - farm stand, cow, shopping, train set, puzzles, etc. There were employees who were putting things back in place, so the place was tidy. Not sure about sanitization, so keep a sanitizer handy as with toys passing so many hands, germs are sure to pass. The time we went the restrooms weren't clean nor were they stocked up. I wish they had more physical activity like some ball space/sand pit/bouncy included as well.

First time visiting for a children's birthday with my one year old! This place is huge! So many fun activities for the kids, everything is very well laid out, very clean for all of the chaos that goes on and the staff is very friendly! i don't know how they do it. in the famous words of the Terminator, "I'll be back"

I don't understand the hype about this place. We are surrounded by real nature in the Seattle area (as well as real museums), and instead hundreds of kids and their parents are packed in a small building with little breathing room to climb some fake rope, play some toy wood train set you can buy on Amazon, play with plastic apples in a tiny plastic farm, and splash some tap water in a metal drain?
There are better ways to entertain your kids that are far more enriching and less claustrophobic and chaotic than this place. And it can be done for far cheaper too.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 29, 2022
We had scored free tickets to check out this place and let me just say as a new parent, I am sold 100% to the point where we bought a membership. So far my 11 month old can only do the "tot" area, but he's incredibly happy with that. Personally I'd be most excited for the toy train, climbing, and water play areas so I'm looking forward to those in the future. Definitely worth the 1.5 hours we were there, which could've been longer if it wasn't for nap time.
Cons: Awful small parking lot for the volume of families it attracts. Went (opening time) Thanksgiving weekend on a rainy Saturday, but it got crazy busy within the next 1.5 hours. They were at capacity, so we were lucky we reserved ahead of time, but even at capacity it felt a bit too much and uncomfortable for a young baby to be more than an arm's length away.Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jul 17, 2023
Incredible museum. Newer. Amazing two-stories filled with activities. My 4 yo old and I wee here for 3 hour. He loves riding in the real Peterbilt engine, the amazing water room, train tracks, and the clay station. An incredible reading nook on the third floor.
Best of all, this museum participates in the Blue Star program so military members and their families get in for free. Otherwise, it's $14 per person. Children under 1 are free. They have a closed off Tot room for the sub-3 that looks lovely, too.
FYI there's no snacks for sale. We found a great dumpling restaurant just a 5 minute walk away.
We have been to kid museums in Gulfport, Pasadena, LA, Reno, Truckee, and a few more which are similar in model but not a "museum". This might be my favorite!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
