Smith heads back to Aston Villa

Kerr Smith has left St Johnstone to re-join parent club Aston Villa after suffering an injury.

The 19-year-old made just three appearances for the Perth side after joining from the Premier League outfit in January.

Manager Craig Levein said: "It is unfortunate the way things have worked out for Kerr but I would like to personally thank him for his efforts during his time on loan at the club.

"I wish him well for the future back at Aston Villa."
