Kellyanne Conway is reportedly considering an offer to join Donald Trump's campaign team in an unspecified role.

The former White House senior adviser and Trump's 2016 campaign manager has appeared multiple times recently on Fox News to discuss a variety of topics, including abortion and race, and an anonymous source close to Conway said an offer had been made to join his team, reported Axios.

“She is the go-to messenger when it comes to hot-button issues,” said one source. “Anytime she talks about a topic, Republicans and Trump’s orbit take it very seriously.”

Senior advisers to the former president said no offer had been made, and even though she is seen as an effective messenger, Conway has made some enemies in Trumpworld.

Conway currently works for the conservative super PAC Club for Growth and recently lobbied against a bipartisan bill in Congress to ban TikTok, urging Trump to highlight the app's usefulness to his supporters after he came out against the bill.

Trump has reportedly also considered bringing back another former 2016 campaign manager, Paul Manafort, for a role likely involving the Republican National Committee.

Conway stepped away from the White House in 2020 to spend more time with her family after she and now-ex-husband George Conway argue publicly about politics and Trump in particular.

“In time, I will announce future plans," she said at the time. "For now, and for my beloved children, it will be less drama, more mama."

Conway recently published a New York Times column advising Trump on his choice for a running mate, but one columnist speculated that she wanted that job for herself.

"She happily promoted Trump brands during her time in the White House, to the point that the Office of Special Counsel recommended she be fired for multiple violations of the Hatch Act," wrote the Daily Beast's Michael Ian Black. "Further, she understands that loyalty-as-obsequiousness is precisely what Trump desires."
