In the end, Cash is able to transform his life, find true love and find acceptance and peace within himself. The film stars Joaquin Phoenix as Cash, Reese Witherspoon as June, and Robert Patrick as Cash's father. The film was nominated for five Academy Awards and won one for Best Actress in a Leading Role for Reese Witherspoon.
