She had a busy 2020, starring in two of Netflix's favorite shows of the year.

And Kate Walsh, 53, enjoyed some well-deserved down time as she started 2021, seen soaking in the sun while on the beach of her adopted hometown of Perth, Australia on Tuesday.

The California-born actress, who was featured in The Umbrella Academy and Emily In Paris, certainly looked like she was enjoying herself, slipping into a slinky black bikini which showed off her toned figure as she tanned and flirted with a handsome companion.

Continuing to show some skin, the Private Practice star donned tie-side bottoms with a cheeky Brazilian cut at back. 

She drew even more attention to her decolletage with her accessories, letting a few delicate chain necklaces sweep into her cleavage. The rest of her additions with more practical, consisting of a white terry cloth bucket hat, square sunglasses and a pair of diamond studs.

Seeing as it was high summer Down Under, Walsh was happy to take a dip in the ocean, ditching her accessories to cool off.

The star waded into the water and dunked herself under the surface, not worried about wetting her rich, brunette locks. As she emerged from the sea, leftover droplets of ocean highlighted the definition of her long legs. 

Kate made her way back to the sand where she touched base with a bearded male friend. After a bit of chatting, the duo decided to lay down their towels and soak in the afternoon rays.

The pair looked close as she laid back on her towel and leaned on his shoulder. At another point the Umbrella Academy actress placed her hand on his back affectionately.

The star has likely been making new friends since deciding to relocate to Australia after finding herself 'stuck' in the Southern Hemisphere after pandemic lockdowns began take hold while she was vacationing down under back in March.

And she's quickly fallen for the country. 

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph about her new love affair with Australia, the actress explained: 'I didn't really want to go back to New York in the middle of a pandemic when it was pretty gnarly to say the least.

The Grey's Anatomy star recently told 2GB's Jim Wilson she felt 'very grateful' to be in Australia during the COVID-19 crisis.

'Honestly, I feel very lucky,' she said. 'It's kind of a crazy situation: it's like being in an alternate reality compared to the rest of the world.'
