Princess Kate's compassionate nature has once again shone through as she offered words of encouragement to a cancer patient during a royal engagement in Blackpool. The touching interaction took place in 2019 when Kate and Prince William visited the seaside town to support regeneration projects and visited Blackpool Tower.

Paul Philip Roberts, a cancer patient who had recently undergone surgery for lung cancer, recounted his conversation with Kate, describing how the future queen showed genuine care and empathy. When Roberts shared his cancer diagnosis with the Princess, she responded with three simple yet powerful words: "Just keep going."

"I'd just come out of hospital, and Kate was visiting Blackpool with Prince William. She came to my side, and we were chatting for a good five minutes," Roberts recalled. "She basically said, 'what cancer is it?' and I said it was stage three and that I had my lung out, and she said 'oh my God, that's awful' and she said 'just keep going' and she gave us a hug."

Kate's honesty can save lives

Roberts praised Kate for her caring nature, noting that her response resonated deeply with him. "She cared, and that's one thing that struck me - she cares," he added.

Reflecting on Middleton's recent announcement of her own cancer diagnosis, Roberts expressed empathy and wished her strength and recovery. He emphasized the importance of seeking support and encouraged Kate to focus on getting stronger.

"It's beneficial to the community and to the world when you think about how many people she might have saved," Roberts said, highlighting the potential impact of Kate's openness about her diagnosis.

As Princess Kate navigates her own cancer journey, her words of encouragement to others continue to inspire hope and resilience, touching the hearts of many around the world.
