What travelers are saying
- Lonesome_SparrowStuttgart, Germany341 contributionsFrom the viewpoint of displaying history, this is great. Also, the complicated relations between the various powers in Europe which basically lead to the war strt were well explained.Written April 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - sirenazulclaroNew York City, NY223 contributionsHad a great Sunday late morning visiting the Nelson-Atkins art museum. It was free and they had a Festival of India program happening during my visit with lots of performances and activities. The exhibits were all interesting and I enjoyed walking through all the different sections. Friendly museum staff as well. It was a pleasant visit.Written April 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- C ESeattle, WA357 contributionsThis is a wonderful display of a storehouse of 1856 supplies found on a sunken riverboat located by some 1980’s “treasure hunters” in the area. It’s a great story and wonderful exhibit. All ages are going to enjoy this. Helpful docents.Written April 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Don KJacksonville, FL37 contributionsThe minute you walk into Union Station you can imagine stepping back in time, the grander of rail travel in that era the hustle and bustle and shoeshine boysWritten March 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Phil RKansas City, MO563 contributionsThe museum was a lot better than I expected. For a free museum it is very good. There was a good (and honest) telling of the history of the era and baseball at the time. But (as a middle-aged white man), the way the history was told did not make me feel uncomfortable at all. As a baseball fan, it was very educational and fun. A very good 15-minute movie was shown in a mini theater. There were some good displays showing life for a Negro League player on the road at the time. I would have given it 5 stars, but the space could have been used better. I would love to see the museum expanded into some of the empty space in the building. This would make the displays easier to appreciate. But I am extremely happy that I visited.Written April 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- sirenazulclaroNew York City, NY223 contributionsA walkable plaza with lots of shops and dining, about 20 minutes walk from the Nelson-Atkins art museum. - THDetroit, MI17 contributionsWe’ve done many stadium tours for football, baseball and soccer. This tour is among the best! Informative and access to some great areas of the stadium! Highly recommend.Written March 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jane GJoplin, MO83 contributionsWe went to Glowild at the zoo, and the bright balloons were larger than I expected. There are many throughout the zoo. I'd recommend going to the zoo at dusk so you can see the animals prior to when it's dark, and then you can check out the Glowild.Written November 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - John PFlyover Country, USA135 contributionsI’ve been a member of Science City since my son was 10. He’s in his 30s, now my granddaughter is 7. She loves it. There are plenty of physical fitness activities to do, there are knowledge activities to discover, there are arts activities to help their creativity. She especially loves the indoor and outdoor play spaces, where she can exercise herself truly to exhaustion.

We made a reservation ahead of time. The host Tony was absolutely engaging and funny. The whole set up is great. The alcohol tasting was amazing. And we fell in love with the botanical gin. We also had fun watching the video about the history of this bar. A definite must!Written December 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jtrav202Springfield, IL8 contributionsIt’s a pretty good time and the toys take you back to your childhood. The miniatures are amazing. The whole family loved it. Only negative is it cost a lot to get in considering how small the place is. Those ticket prices will add up.Written April 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
